I have a Sony KV32XL90E 3 YEARS OLD and have the problem SOUND IS BUT
NO PICTURE and the Stand By/Timer light
blinks 16 times, pauses and then does it again. i was trying TV ON once
after one week again and was getting picture but next day did not work
again, seems like there is some part tired with 3 years and not giving
enough power to get picture anymore. Any solution?
I have the same problem, however if I turn the T.V. on and off many times, I can get the picture to stay on. I have left the T.V. "on" (it is hooked up to a cable box) for two months now and the picture stays on and is as good as when it was new. If it has been accidentally turned off, it takes multiple "on/off" cycles to get the picture back and it is fine as long as it is left on. Does anyone have any suggestions on a fix? Is there a danger to having it on 24/7?I have the same problem, however if I turn the T.V. on and off many times, I can get the picture to stay on. I have left the T.V. I have seen this flashing before, this could be an indication that the picture tube is weak, what happens is that if the white balance is off there is a circuit called akb it monitors the kathode of each gun and if they are not in balance it will attempt to balance it out. if it can't the picture will begin to flash, sometimes in some models the power light will blink 5 times. On some models the power light will only flash if the tv gives up trying to compinsate for white balance and shuts off compeletely. If you see the tv shutting off with 5 blinks then you know for sure it is time for a new set.
IF--- You have 3 video ics located on CRT broad # TDA6111Q ,if only one of them is shorted set will not come on these ics will kill the high voltage, there for keeping set off.
