Ok unplug your box. go to the dispenser remove the tray. Now pull down on the bottom cover. this will unlock the cover. Right behind the cover is a plastic swtich holder. You have a broken pin that holds the swtich. replace this and you will back in order. hope this helps.
I don't know if you've already figured out how to remove the front panel on your refrigerator crisper bin, but here it is. Once the drawer is removed, pull back those clips on the top left & right of the front of the drawer.Just hold the side and pull back at the same time, then you can remove it. Once both side have been released you should be able to remove the clear plastic front and clean both pieces. I hope that is clear enough. Best of luck, unless of course you've already discovered the answer yourself.
brute force on the glass shelf.... it was just stuck in place by the cold sticky liquid that had seeped under the edges and bonded the glass and plastic together
They are usually held in with clips that snap in and out. This is especially true if you don't see any visible screws. Give it a good tug on one side and see if it pops out.
The drain for a GE bottom mount refrig is located under the plastic panel at the bottom of the refrigerator compartment under the crisper drawers. There are two plastic pieces, one is about six inches long and runs the width of the refrig compartment which is right at the door seal. This piece is held on by two plastic tabs located approximately an inch from each end. By inserting a small srew driver under the panel and lightly prying up you should be able to pull the panel straight out. The the other plastic panel can be easliy pulled out. Under the styrofoam cover you will see the drain behind the evaporator fan. It is a two inch by four inch metal valley pan at the back wall which feeds to a black pipe at the bottom and in the back of the refrigerator. If you are having problems with ice clogging the drain and stopping the fan blades from turning, chances are it is either the defrost thermostat (mimetal switch) or the defrost timer.
