either your 1440 was never set to include daylight saving time or the unit was reset at some point.

the time is automatically set once you choose your time zone and if you observe daylight saving time, you must check that box..

go to the main menu, then system option and click on the time zone tab, then select your time zone and check off the little box for daylight saving time.

Atomic clock

There is a setting on the clock to turn on "DST"- daylight savings time feature. You have to push the set button on the back of the clock repeatedly until you see "DST" blinking. You should also see "OFF" blinking at that point indicating that the feature if turned off. If you now push "+" button on the back of the clock once it should show "ON" blinking instead of "OFF". Hope this helps.

Turning daylight saving time OFF

If DST is *already* set to "on" when you reset the time zone to Z-07 (Hawaii), my very recent experience is that the time *still gets adjusted back* by one hour.  Now that daylight savings time is over (at least according to the clock's pre-programmed and outdated schedule) I'm hoping that setting the time zone to Z-07 (Hawaii) will completely cancel the automatic time changes from now on.  Otherwise, I need to purchase another clock, and it won't be a Timex.
