When charged V2 does'nt hold charge for long.

When charged V2 does'nt hold charge for long. It has worked ok in the past but recently it was charge d over night and lasted about twenty minutes.

Hi.
Most likely this kind of problems occurs when the battery is exhausted after a long time of using it.
because even intergrated (rechargeable) Batteries Wont Last forever. the chemical substances(lithium-ion) in it Drains after a period of charging/discharging(using the device).

Solution:

if you have a common Mp3 player, You can purchase a new fresh battery and replace it. its quick and easy.

i can instruct you if you want so.
First check ebay for the exact same battery that you have inside you Mp3 Player.

voltage regulator. it may be in the alternator, or remote mounted. ((the alternator can be charging, but if voltage regulator is'nt working then it won't allow voltage to get back to the battery to keep it charged

If the laptop is still working when it is plugged in , then the ac adapter is good and the battery is just bad. If the laptop will not work when it is plugged in then more than likely the ac adapter is bad.

If both batteries won't hold a charge the problem may be the charger (not providing a full charge). If one battery is OK and one not holding a charge, the problem is probably a defect with the battery. I know there expensive, (I recently had to replace one for DeWalt).

Tomtom problem

When you turn off the device with power button, you actually set the device in stand by mode, not fully turned off.
This state will drain the battery.

The only way I know to turn device fully off, is to do a reset with paperclip at bottom of device...

Yes the battery in your TOM TOM needs to be replaced. You can ship it to TOM TOM or go to there site and put the service request in for it. Hopefully it might be under warrenty still
