I am having problems syncing my samsung G600 with vista

Samsung pc studio 3 is what you need.
Connect your g600 to the pc open pc studio and go to the sms and open it.
Then you can copy it and paste it again in a editor from your pc.

You did not indicate the option you tried using. Try all the connection options: USB, Bluetooth, infra red etc. If it does not, your might be having problem with the configuration of the pc studio.

hi friend, in windows vista you can run the program in Compatibility mode from vista, go to START> Control pannel> Programs> and below program and features it says use a older program with this version of windows, Thats what you want. Regards

in phone type * #52828378# into phone and this appears

1 trace settings
2 ota type settings
3 serial test
4 tfs reset
you select 3 serial test
then this comes up
1 ppp up
2 serial download
3 run tck
you select
2 serial download
the phone will reboot connect you usb lead and pc studio will work

If you are using pc studio you must first check that it is set to use it.Try this first:-
1,settings-phones settings-USB settings-pc studio.
2,If not then check that your pc USB's are switched on.

Try this, I had a the same problem as you guys + found this on a web forum. Quite a frustrating problem to have, It fixes the phone, but after a while you have to do this over again. I am wishing I never bought this phone, even though the reviews were really great.

Unplug usb cable from phone

Type *#52828378# into phone

this comes up

1 Trace setting
2 OTA type setting
3 Serial test
4 TFS reset

select 3 serial test

this comes up

1 PPP UP
2 Serial download
3 Run TCK

Select 2 Serial download

Phone will reboot.
Once rebooted, connect usb cable and pc studio will now work.

The Samsung software does not work properly with the G600 (take note Samsung) On your phone go to: Settings>phone settings>USB settings>Ask on connection. exit phone and when you plug in your usb it will ask what connection type, choose Mass Storage and it will appear on My Computer as a portable drive, you can drag and drop to folders. You may have to install the USB drivers from the disc or site, but it may work without.

Not compatible with Windows Vista? XP Only?

What you have to do to put files on your computer or take them from your computer onto your phone is: go onto settings, onto phone settings, onto USB settings and chage it to either mass storage (if you want to put pictures, music and videos on) or media player (to just transfer music). Then plug in the USB cable that came with your phone into your computer/laptop and follow the instructions from there.
NOTE: This only works with the Sampsung G600
