SOURCE: Casio Exilim ex-z700 - lens wont open
Chances are you are not going to succeed. Water dissolves Coke but Kills cameras. Dropping them does the lens drive mechanism no good at all. Well now you are in a rock and a hard place. 1st thing to do is to go and buy the next camera. Then remove batteries and memory card from the existing camera and wet a tissue and wrap it around the lens barrel and let it stand face down for a couple of hours. Then find a poly bog. and in it put some salt or uncooked rice wrapped in a cloth[hanky?] Put hanky and camera in the bag close tight shut for a day. The idea is to draw out the moisture But I reckon you will need that new camera. As for a repair -forget it - these things don't get repaired
SOURCE: dropped my camera out of
I did the same exact thing a couple of months ago. All i did was wiggled it around and then I pushed it back in place.

you might have pushed the lens into the barrel. small lens barrel has 3 metal pins that ride inside the larger lens barrel as it twists. Pushing it sometimes cracks the plastic holding these 3 pins in. one way to fix it is to carefully disassemble the entire lens barrel. be careful...sometimes a part just snaps, or is already snapped. The easiest way would be to replace the lens assembly with a good one you can get from another camera like this. There are no spare parts for cams like this so you can try to get another cam that has a different damage other than the lens barrel.
SOURCE: Casio exlim EX- Z29 lens error upon power on
If you've recently dropped the camera you may have damaged the lens tube (housing) or jarred the zoom mechanism off of its track -- either of these problems will require professional repair. If the camera has not been dropped, your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your batteries may be too weak/worn to properly power the camera, or the camera may require professional repair.

This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
