do you mean that your copier doesnt print fax report after sending one?

On add.functions (*) under FAX sett., you must under REPORT select TX ( transmission )report ON.

you must input the email server,autentication .

Try using different software for scanning. e.g. Photoshop Select the right scanner, for Canon you usually see WIA. Then import image and select Canon. New window will pop-out and you can start scanning. Be sure to press the SCAN button of the machine before scanning.

If you've hooked up the copier via ethernet cable then it needs to be setup for scan to email, FTP or scan to folder (smb). This can be done through the copiers web interface which is accessed by typing the copiers IP Address into your web browser. If you've hooked the copier up via USB, then there is 'toolbar' software that you would use for scanning. If you need the software, let me know and I can post it on an FTP site. Just an fyi...I'm pretty sure that you can't hook up both ethernet and USB at the same time.

Press "Additional Functions" button. <common settings> should be displayed, if not press the "+" or "-" button until common settings is displayed. Press "ok". Press "+" or "-" button until "Audible Tones" is displayed. Press "ok". Walk through this submenu to locate the fax volume. Press "ok". Adjust as needed. Press ok. Press stop to exit settings mode.

First try to check your fax settings.Your 'line settings' has to be set to 'tone' and not "pulse".
Set your fax mode for "fax only"

And try again.

3. press scan on unit or using the utility that comes with it.
4. then attach it to an email.
