ok i've done what you said...i placed I've taken the speakers and switched them at the plug source (which is located at the subwoofer) and now the right speaker works but the left is out. So leads me to conclude that the right input (red) is messed up somehow...got any advise?

Okay..,what I want you to do right now is need a little work. You have two satellite speakers right?Right and Left., and in your sub woofer there is three jack holes, which is red for right speaker, white for left speakers and power supply. What I want you do is to inter change the connections of the satellite speakers. The one you said that will not produce sound will be plug into the left jack hole, which is the right speaker and also the left speaker will be plug to the right jack hole. If still no sound of the right speaker that being plug into the left jack hole then your it is broken. Look also the volume balance in the volume properties in your computer.

Output distortion from bass amp

The amp is clipping the signal. This could be from the input being too high. The impedance being too low or the finals are damaged.

Lost sound after installing windows 7 on my hp d530 sff pc

Click start right click on computer select properties then device manager scroll to sound and video game controllers if you see a yellow question/exclamation mark or a red X the driver will need to update drivers. Click start right click on computer select properties then device manager scroll to sound and video if you right click on sound and video then on high definition audio device select update driver software. Click start control panel hardware and sound manage audio devices right click on your speaker select configure speakers. Right click on the speaker icon in the bottom taskbar you will see an array of options select playback devices make sure it has a green tick and the correct speakers are selected be updated if you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it although once speakers are connected widows 7 should automatically update the drivers. Click start control panel hardware and sound manage audio devices playback you might have to set a default go for via high definition audio then right click on speaker. You might have to configure them then select properties you will see tabs general level in this tab make sure your settings are loud enough also enhancements and advanced from the drop down list in the advanced tab select dvd quality or another then apply Hope this helps.

I have no sound coming out of receiver all of a sudden. Connected speakers to another radio and speakers work fine. Everything looks fine on receiver just no sound. Oh, and the mute button is not on.

It is an indication that you have a faulty output ic.
Output ic is responsible for amplifying the audio from your reciever to sound output which is converted by your speakers.

If you're output ic is defective then definitely you haven't sound produce even your unit is working.

I've advice you to look for a qualified technician to checked the condition of your output ic and do some re-soldering for some dry joints on the board.

Thanks for using fixya...

I have a pioneer 5.1 channel surround sound system and it powers up and everything seems to go fine but you go to turn it up and no sound comes out of the speakers already checked speaker wire connections...

Does the protection relay click 3 to 5 seconds after initial power on??? If not, your unit is staying in "protect" mode to save your speakers because the output transistors or output IC is shorted and sending 40 to 60 volts at your speakers. Not a good thing, but at least it saves your speakers.
Good Luck!

X-530 rear and mid speakers not working

Hi guys.
Right, I am not technically minded at all, and all this talk about updating software and plug-ins baffled me. I bought my Logitech speakers 3 days ago, and happily plugged them into the soundcard, only to be puzzled that only my front speakers and subwoofer worked when I played music or video. I then had a brainwave. Using the 3 in 1 port that logitech provided me with, I got myself a phono to mono lead, which you can get at all good electrical stores, (take the three way box with you if you are stuck) Then proceed to plug the three speaker outputs into the box, colour co ordinated, then the phono end of the phono to mono lead in the box at the other side. Then using the single input, plug it into the input of your Soundcard. My soundcard has 8 inputs, so I just kept trying them all until sound came out through my speakers. A much less technical answer than changing all your drivers, creating profiles, fiddling with the deep insides of your PC. Hope this is of some use to you guys!
