How to Prevent my Computer from Freezing?

Freezing can have several causes.
A program calls the cpu in a wrong way, or the cpu is overheating, and more possibilities.
1. Overheating: after a certain time of operation it just freezes. Try cleaning the inside of the computer. Be careful for static electricity, which might kill your CPU.
Look at some instruction videos at Youtube.

2. Does it always happen when you start a certain program ?
Then the best thing to do is to install Process explorer and investigate what was happening just before it freezes:
Try this:

Good luck investigating,

I keep having a message come up saying my computer if frozen and asks if I want to wait or kill page is there anything I can do to fix this

It can happen at times. When the processors of the computer are working too hard. Usually you will see it happens when you have many programs opened or many Chrome tabs/pages opened at once.

You need more GHZ to fix this (to make your processors work faster and not have to freeze)

Hope It helps!

I want to make myself a medicine ball training program, do you have any advices?

If you want an effective practice, it should last 30 to 40 minutes, allowing you to break a good sweat and build a calorie-burning heart rate. You should perform your workout about three times a week with 36 to 48 hours of rest between sessions. Each session should contain at least two sets of eight to ten exercises.

I a 16 user L230. my problem is that the terminals freezes. At logon, they are fine but they start to freeze after about 20mins after i switch the system on. its not particular stations athat freezes but...

The terminals never actually freeze as they are getting desktop sessions from the host. What can happen is the desktop session can lock up and thus any corresponding user input doesn't happen due to the session being locked up. Next time this happens, see if the server/host is responsive. Assuming it is, launch Performance Monitor(Provided as part of the Windows OS) by going to Start ' Run ' Perfmon. Monitor your CPU performance. See what's taking all the CPU resources. It's not uncommon to see unncessary programs running, i.e. jusched.exe (Java Scheduler update), qttask.exe (Quick Time updater), etc. All these programs and other unnecessary programs run at startup and run for EVERY single user so in your case, the jusched.exe runs 16 times and can take valuable system resources. Disable these by going to Start ' Run ' msconfig, press enter, the farthest tab on the right labled STARTUP is where you can disable these programs. After deselecting the ones you don't need, reboot the host and tell the dialog box to NEVER tell you again so that it doesn't alarm you're users that you've messed with the startup config. Lastly, don't overlook that fact that you need 1GB NIC and backbone to the server, each device can take up to 15MB/s of network bandwidth.

Just purchased a Samsung T105g phone. twice it has dialed out by itself with the keypad locked. once was to 911. How do I stop this from happening?

I've had the same exact issue with the same model phone. It's called 911 three times and all times the phone was locked. The very last time it did it the phone fell of the fridge and it called 911. Not sure what key combo is being pressed but it must be really simple or else it wouldn't dial it like it has. The best solution is just to buck up and get another phone. This model is super cheap so it wont be a huge loss. Keep it but you may get into trouble with the law.

Microsoft powerpoint 2007 student version stops working when you close the program. Is there a solution to the problem?

Hi Don,

So i just need a bit more information to try to help. With troubles like these though there are so many variables but maybe we will get lucky with trying the basics.

Can you tell me:

When you close Powerpoint does the entire PC freeze up? or just that program and you can continue using the PC?

Does it ever happen when you save the document?

How old is your pc?

When was the last time it was formatted?

Does your PC seem slower than normal?

thanks in advance for answering my questions.
