I looked up the manual for this TV and it has composite (RED, WHITE, YELLOW) and component (RED, GREEN, BLUE) connectors as well.

Are you using a cable or Dish box? If so, those boxes usually have output in Coax, Composite, and Component formats. You could just run that type of cable. If you use Component you will also need another cable set (RED, WHITE) for audio.

If, on the other hand, you do not have a cable box and you are using your TV's tuner you only have two options. You can repair the broken connector or you can route the Coax through an inexpensive VCR which will allow you to convert it to Composite cables. In this case, however, you'll have to use the tuner in the VCR, not the tuner in the TV to change the channel. Sorry it's not the best of news.

I want you to know that I'm not paid for this. It's a strange hobby I know, but I like to help when I can. While I cannot physically repair you TV, I hope you've found this information at least helpful and will rate it positively. If you have more questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks, and good luck.

As a tech i have been known to fix these. reattached. if the tuner which is what it is attached to is not damaged...best soloution is to feed the signal with cable box or a vcr to another input through component leads. not fancy or eleborate but it gets the job done and it dont cost you the 150 to 200 to repair or replace the tuner

Looking for cable with analog on one end and coax on other end

Since you're going to be soldering anyway, these are available on ebay. Just keep your wire as short as reasonable.

The other way is just grab a short f-type to f-type coax (standard TV coax cable) , and cut off one end. Then unweave the shield and solder into a bundle with a short wire to the TV antenna ground.

Where is the video in connection ?

if you dont see rca audio/video inputs or s-video, the tv must be pretty old and when vcr's first came out in the 70's the input was through the coaxl (antenna) cable. you would run the antenna in to the vcr then out to the tv.- all coax cable

How do I put the GE remote xs stereo monitor into input mode without the remote?

A good universal remote to use with that monitor is the RCA RCRN04GR, available at WalMart. I recently bought a 25" GE Remote Monitor XS Stereo from a Days Inn that was replacing all of those monitors with Flat Screen TV's. When I got it home I found that it would not go to channel 4 which was default with my COX Digital Cable Box. Channel 3 is the default channel on the monitor, so I ran an AV cable from the cable box, disconected the coax and hooked up the AV cable to the back of the TV and that solved the problem. I hope that answer was helpful.

Have an RCA F27636BC TV. Can u hook a DVD player

How to hookup TV

If you have a TV with only a single coax input and you want to hook up components like DVD players and VCRs, here's how to do it.

What you need to connect your DVD player or game players to a TV that only has a VHF/UHF 75-ohm F-connector ("coax antenna input").

1.) RF Modulator with Stereo Audio Inputs.

2.) 6 foot long coaxial cable with male "F" connectors. This cable goes from the modulator to the TV. The modulator also has a coaxial input to plug in your antenna or your VCR.

3.) 6 foot long Video and Audio Cables with "RCA" plugs. The cables connect the yellow, red and white outputs from your DVD or game player to the yellow, red and white inputs of the modulator.

Works with X-Box, PlayStation, Nintendo or other devices that output audio/video via the RCA plugs and you want to connect them to your coaxial only TV.

Would like to record from my tv to my magnavox dvd/vcr combo box

If I understand your request right, You do not have cable or satellite box.
You can not record from your TV. You use the TV as a monitor from the dvd/vcr combo box. What the box receives is what shows on the TV. So you will have to have a digital convertor hooked to the (antenna in) dvd/vcr combo box, (antenna out to the tv antenna in) Depending on the antenna you are using that is on the other end of your cable-in coax connection this will hook to your antenna in on the digital convertor box. If your cable is hooked up and operating correctly and directly to the tv that is digital ready you probabbly have a good picture. When the vhf/uhf signal was transmitted you could go from the dvd/vcr to the tv with no problem. But now that the signal is digital and the tv is set for digital the dvd/vcr will not pass a digital signal to the tv. Best suggestion, you have to get a digital dvd/vcr receiver. If you have more question please contact me.

My Akai LCT42Z6TM TV does not have a coaxle

A converter box isn't going to fix this problem.
Your TV is a Monitor. It doesn't have a built in tuner. That's why it doesn't have a Cable/Ant coaxial port.
The TV needs a cable box for tuning or some other outside source box for receiving signals.

Are you using cable from the cable company or an antenna for reception?

Coaxle cable (from aerial on roof to TV)

Go purchase a coax male f connector, and the crimpers. Cut off 1/2 inch of rubber sleeving and fold the metal shielding back. Now cut the with part a quarter from the end but not all the way. You want the center piece to poke out. Now slide the f connector on and crimp.

Hook up vcr

yes, you need to use an Audio/Video cable (red, white, yellow) to hook to the TV. I've never seen a VCR that doesn't have coax connectors for the antenna input and TV ouput, but maybe the new ones are starting to leave that out. Normally, you run the antenna or cable coax into the VCR's input, then run another coax from the VCR output to the TV's input (or use an A/V cable)
