Be careful about where you put it, but I like to use a regular ordinary 3 in 1 machine oil. The rack itself is lubed with a form of grease, its composition is not known. I have used the oil everywhere else.

I don't put much into the printer when they start having issues, as it is cheaper (usually) to replace them. Interesting society that we live in now.

Sumsung 600CLP Lazer Jet printer has a squeeking

I assume the printer is at least a couple years old or it has been used extensively.

The squeaking could be caused by some normal wear and tear of the printer. If you feel daring enough, you'll need to remove the side covers of the printer and locate the gears connected to a shaft on one side of the printer. Each shaft goes to the opposite side of the printer, where it ends in a bushing. The bushings wear out and start to squeak. You can lubricate the bushings with a very small amount of white lithium grease, taking care not to put any grease on the roller.

Another solution that worked for some people was installing the hp deskjet 9800 printer driver.

It appears what you need is a patched .gpd file for the BI 2800.
Try emailing Bob Headrick, who has done these patches. (Thanks Bob)!
Be sure to put Vista and Large Format Printing 11x17 in the subject line.

You'd think between HP and MS, they'd have this working right out of the box.
Did they think people would buy a B-size printer so they could hook it up to Vista and then not want to print mainly B-size documents?
They would have had happier customers if they would have included B-size support but left out A-size!
Amazing!

Good Luck

Constant squeeking while drying clothes

It's most likely the roller bushigs/axles which need lubricating -- they've probably not failed yet, but will if ignored.

They squeak more when clothes are wet because of more weight.

I'd also lubricate the motor while your in there.

HP CP1700 - no cyan or blue printing

Try taking a look at your printheads. Have they been installed for some time. You may need to change them. Start with the Cyan first.
