Cannot log in to tesco broadband from my tabletsamsung 2/3

open settings . turn off wifi then turn it back on after 30 seconds.
go back to settings open the wifi settings and pic your router
be sure you have the right wep key. also down load wifi analyzer
and open . check to see if your router is on channel with too many other routers close by. this will cause you to have a spotty connection or none at all.
I had 5 other routers on the same channel from the same provider and actually the same router brand. move your channel to a blank spot. why galaxy products are so sensitive i do not know as laptops and pc's can lock on to a signal and galaxy products seem to continuously search for a new connection regardless of weather
it has one.

Samsung ML-2525W printer & Mac OS X 10.6

I think there are 6 ways (at least?) to connect this printer:
(1) Direct to Mac (or PC) via USB Cable (2) Direct to Mac (or PC) via Ethernet Crossover Cable (3) Ethernet to router/switch, with Mac/PC also via Ethernet to router/switch (4) Ethernet to router/switch, with Mac/PC via WiFi (802.11 wireless) (5) WiFi to router, with Mac/PC via Ethernet to router/switch (6) WiFi to router, with Mac/PC also via WiFi
As (1) should be simplest, tried this first. First document would print instantly and completely, next doc would hang in queue with unexpected msg, "Printer is offline." Only way to print 2nd doc was to power cycle (off-on) the printer. This problem occurred whether 2nd doc was sent to printer before or after 1st doc had printed. Tried 2nd USB cable, tried new driver, tried reinstalling printer; same problem. Spoke to both Samsung and Apple support, including both on a conference call; never got this to work and never clarified if problem was in printer hardware/software, driver, or something else.
Nothwithstanding USB problem, did succeed in modes (4) and (6), although custom wireless config needed since my network does not broadcast SSID and requires an encryption password. Also required different driver for wireless config (as opposed to USB).

Cant connect to wifi

It could be a number of things~:-
1. Check the signal strength, the number of bars next to the wifi location.

2. check the login settings have not changed, both the SSID and the password have to be correct as do the protocol selected.

3. Check you have not been blacklisted on the router, or if the router has an accepted user list, your pc serial number is on it.

I live nextdoor too a library which i am using them too connect my laptop with out a router.(eg: PC direct to Libra y router) yesterday it was super fast, but today it's slow i've tried all kinds of speed...

a great post and funny to read about snagging wifi.
lots of kids make a dish at school and use wifi from large distances.
so you are home right,. not in the library , right, and now expect the Libraries wifi to be fast at home , that far away,.
well it will never be fast ever. like that.
if you have a router that is 2 bands, there is no better routers.
the library only runs 2 bands I bet or even just 1.
so why not buy your own internet service,
or rig up this.

you can use a colander from moms kitchen

or other dish shaped objects to make this dish..
they need to be focused. and pointed to the library to work.
even card board, cut to a dish and aluminum foil works,

all this is fun stuff,
but never reliable.
at night they can have there router go off, on a timer.

Every time i secure the router the wpa/wep isnt compatible with my daughters laptop.....not too sure what do

Does your daughter have a very old laptop? Some older wireless cards do not support wpa/wep. You can still get her a USB wireless adapter and use that to connect to the router.

I have a D-Link DSL-G604T wireless router. I have never installed or use security on it but the kids at the school across the road are taping into my wireless broadband to download music to their IPods. I...

well, one way would obviously be a shotgun and a visit to the school, but if you like to do the stuff more conventional way:
Log into the router with 10.1.1.1 password admin, username admin.
go to wifi, activate wpa2 protection, NOTE THE PASSWORD OF WPA2 KEY, maybe even change SSID name (your wifi name), make it invisible and that's it

Can't find wireless Signal

Make sure her router is configured to broadcast the SSID as that can either be disabled or enabled. Once thats enabled and you still cant see it try and set it to different wireless channels and change the wireless network mode to 'mix"

Can't get dynamic ip address

What about your desktop pc? Have you checked the services on it to make sure it is not broadcasting DHCP? Also, think about switching over to Stealth Mode (Non-broadcast SSID) instead of MAC filtering. MAC filtering can be cummbersome and if it is just you, then do away with it.
