Citizen Skyhawk SMT date?

What's the easiest way to change the automatic daylight savings correction in my Citizen Skyhawk? I hate to move the UTC time, but I would like all of the US time zones to be correct!

You've gotta go to the set setting, one click out on the knob and cycle through all the timezones using the B button (the lower one) to change all the settings to OF (for winter) or ON (for summer time). According to their website FAQ, they can't determine when daylight savings time goes into effect for all the different time zones so there is no automatic changeover from SMT to normal and back again. Disappointing, I know. I just spent half an hour going through their website looking for some master switchover as well.

I have the correct time set in the watch, the main analog clock shows the correct time, but the UTC analog hands19:00 when the UTC digital time is 12:00. How do I reset the UTC analog hour hands?

The hands are driven by the digital. It seems to me you have the wrong digital city. Please review the setting instructions for your Skyhawk at: http://www.citizenwatch.com/

BTW, I love my Titinimum Skyhawk

How to adjust your Skyhawk for Daylight Savings Time (DST) *aka How to get UTC to reflect the correct time when your local time is set*
According to Citizen's website FAQ, their watches cannot determine when daylight savings time goes into effect for all the different time zones so there is no automatic changeover from SMT to normal and back again. If you are on the winter side of the time change (fall back), you'll have to go to the set setting, one click out on the knob and cycle through all the timezones using the B button (the lower one) to change all the settings to OF (for winter) and in the spring change all of the appropriate timezones back to ON (for summer time). Disappointing, I know... for an otherwise great watch this would be my one complaint.

My Citizen Skyhawk analog UTC hour hand is alway 1 hour ahead of the UTC digital hour. I've tried reset and the hour/min hand alignment process without success. Any ideas other than sending in the watch...

Skyhawk keeps reverting to year 2016 and date does

It is easier to just answer the question (escapement): Here is the solution:

Citizen will do the software update for free, but you will need to send it in. Call 1-800-321-1023 ext. 4345. I spoke with Claudia. They will send you an e-mail that your respond to with this info: Name, address, phone, e-mail. They will then send you a pre-paid airbill to send in your watch and return it to you when updated. It is free and will take less than 10 days.

Unable to set time

The time on this watch is set by changing the digital display time then transferring the digital time to the hands.
1 - Turn the crown until the mode hand points to the time mode [TME].
2 - Press either button (A) or (B) to select the city for which the time is to be set.
3 - Pull the crown out to the second click (3) to enter time setting mode.
4 - Pressing button (A) will change the digits to be set. These digits are the ones that are blinking. Press button (A) to select the digits that you want to change.
When button (B) is pressed in the [SMT] daylight savings time correction mode, DST can be turned ON or OFF.
When button (B) is pressed with the seconds digits blinking, the seconds will return to "00".
5 - Turn the crown clockwise to advance the hours or minutes when those digits are blinking.
Although the crown may be turned in either direction, you should always turn it clockwise to the final setting.
6 - When the 12H/24H selection is blinking, pressing button (B) will turn it On/Off.
7 - After correcting the time on the digital displays, push the crown in to normal position (1) to complete time setting.
i think this may solve ur problem

thank u.................

Echo drive skyhawk,My watch's time zone is always one hour behind

You posted this in January, which is not during daylight savings time. The SMT setting doesn't turn on automatic DST switching for a particular timezone; rather, it is a manual override to adjust timezones to DST when it is actually active. There is no automatic DST adjustment for this watch (according to their FAQ). Turn SMT to OF for all timezones during winter months, and ON for applicable timezones during SuMmer Time (SMT).

Citizen Skyhawk Time Adjustment Problem

It is possible to set the main analogue hour and minute hand 30 minutes out of phase with the digital readout, but doing so will also put the analogue UTC dial 30 minutes off. It can be done by using a variation of the proceedure for zeroing the watch hands as follows: 1. Rotate the crown in its normal opering position to set the watch in chronograph mode (mode dial pointing to "chr") 2. Pull out the crown to the second click. This should cause all the hands on the watch to return to zero. "HR" should appear on the left-hand digital display. This will allow you to move the hour hand by twisting the crown. Advance it to about half way between the 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock positions. 3. Press the top button. "MIN" should appear in the left-hand digital display. This allows you to adjust the minute hand. Twist the crown to advance it to the 6 o'clock, or 30 minute, position. Note that this will also move the minute hand on the small UTC dial to the 30 minute position. 4. Press the crown back into its normal position. 5. Reset the digital time and date according to a time zone that is in a one-hour offset from UTC. This is not a perfect solution. Your digital readings will show the correct time for all one-hour offset time zones while your analogue nads are 30 minutes out of phase. Your small UTC dial will also be 30 minutes out of phase with the digital UTC. Hope this helps.
