Some TV can do PIP but it will require to have TWO tuners to watch two channels at once, most TV will have single tuner, but it will aloow you to do PIP, one showing what is on the tuner, another shows other video source, such as DVD.

Rca hdtv channel changed by mistake

RCA channel setup and selection is not easy to understand. You may try to add channel 3 on the add/remove channel section. If that doesn't work try pressing the input button. Good Luck.

Zenith 27" HDTV second antenna input not accessible on TV/remote

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Pls verify if your particular model/versions has a PIP feature. To my understanding, the 2nd Antenna/Cable IN goes to a 2nd tuner that is primarily used for the PIP (picture in picture) mode. This mode would allow you to watch simultaneously 2 different TV channels.

Pls post back. Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

LG 42 inch Plasma Picture in Picture with SKY satellite service

PIP only works off two seperate signals, eg you cannot watch 2 sky channels at a time, you can watch sky tv and then your analogue channel using PIP or freeview, you can then swap which is to be viewed as a large picture and which is to be viewed as the smaller picture or half and half.

Im having problems conecting my nintendo wii to my tiscali siemens gigaset se587,can you help me please as i have tried to link them both together with a wireless conection but i just get an error message?...

hi

i have just solved this problem on the SE 587, hope it works for you.

1) in internet explorer type 192.168.1.1, which should bring up your router settings - then select "wireless" and then "basic wireless settings" - under "auto channel" set it to "disable" and the set "wireless channel" to "1" , then "save settings" - my pc briefly went offline and quickly came back.

2) when setting up the connection on the wii you need the code from the bottom of the router - make sure you have "caps lock" ON on the wii when you set up.

3) now everything works perfectly on the wii - you dont even need the pc on! just the router.

good luck IAN.

PIP

this tv does not have 2 tuners. So you will be unable to get 2 different channels on one screen. I have the same tv. The PIP is only good for watching a dvd/video and tv swapping only.

Can't get second picture in Picture-in-Picture (PiP)

Watching two separate tv channels at the same time requires two tv channel sources,i.e. a split of some kind. For instance, the cable coming in thru the wall is split-half to tv or vcr/dvd combo and then to tv,the other half to cable box, then out to tv.If what I described fails, then you may have an actual tv failure.PIP video is generally a separate circuit from standard video. An expert tech w/service literature should be able to help. Let me know if you need more assistance.

Need help getting PIP to work

You don't have a problem except you need two tuners. You say you have a VCR, which this has a tuner. Set your VCR to TV and and start the PIP and choose your VCR as the second source. You will now be watching two different channels, one from the TV tuner and one from the VCR tuner. Also just to clarify, you should have the cable wire from the wall running to the INPUT on the VCR and then a cable running from the OUTPUT on the VCR to your TV to make this all work correctly.
