The power switch no longer works (but if one wedges a spoon handle in to where the on/off lever is, then the water boils (so nothing is wrong with the heating mechanism)

Grohe Red Duo M is a two handle kitchen faucet that was recently installed in my home. A few days ago, one of the handles suddenly stopped working. I have tried everything to get it to work, but it seems to be completely nonfunctional. I am not sure what could have gone wrong, as the faucet seemed to be working perfectly fine when it was first installed. I am now at a loss as to what to do about this problem.
Most blender / mixers have one safety switch per jug.
If your BBL300 has one jug then it should have one small switch where the jug's locking tabs will lock the jug into position.
This is usually visible as a small plastic piece (may be black in color) just under an L-shaped groove on the base.
This is a "Normally-Open" switch, so that only something pressing the switch lever will switch it on.
No jug no work. You need jug.
You can test the spindle & motor by switching on (low speed) then use a flat plastic tool (eg a plastic spoon handle) to press this switch tab in.
If it starts, motor is good, then you can buy a jug to fit.
First check that you have voltage at the outlet and that the switch is working. There is a reset button on the bottom of the unit - have you tried to reset that? If not, try it! If that doesn't do it, unplug your unit and use an allen wrench to rotate the motor (CW), if it won't turn then you either have something like a bone or spoon wedged in it or the motor is bad. If the motot is bad it is cheaper to replace than to repair.
same thing happened to me with my indesit w10.....so now i have touse a screwdriver to lever the door open (could always buy another handle, but hey...).
there should be a hole where the handle would lever the metal catch open...stick a screwdriver / spoon in there and lever it open...there's a technique to it but have a play around, you'll work it out... its easy enough!
I can adjust the power level so that circuitry seems to be ok. The longer water boil time could be partially due to the colder winter temperature of the inlet water. We'll just cook the food a bit longer as long as the magnetron is still working.
To state the obvious, the steam sensor has failed. Unless you are quite adventurous, and confident dealing with electrics, there's nothing for it but to get a new kettle (unless the kettle is still within warranty, in which case you should be entitled to a replacement of course).
The "wedge" of the plastic lever wears, so you need to replace the lever or build up that section of the lever. Some cyanoacrylate (Super Glue / Krazy Glue) and a piece of a zip tie will work.
1. flip the power of and on at the breaker and press the reset switch on the disposal
2 quickly flip the power off and on at the disposal (when youdo this listen for a hmmmmmm
3 with the power off take a broom handle (any wooden handle I sometimes use a wooden spoon and turn the impeller down inside of the drain area of the disposal opening from the sink do thid until you feel the impeler rotating
you may want to use a flashlight when you put the handle in try to make the impeller move in a clockwise drection
4 turn the power on at the disposal switch and it should run
After you get this running put some icecubes in the disposal turn on water and turn on disposal
