Can't load gmail
There can be several reasons why Gmail is not loading on your Dell XPS 8700 Desktop. Firstly, you need to make sure that you are using a browser compatible for using Gmail. The browsers that support Gmail are Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.
(Note: Internet Explorer does not support "Desktop Notifications" feature while only Google Chrome supports "Gmail Offline" feature.)
If you are using a compatible browser but still unable to load Gmail, make sure that you are using a browser version compatible with your Windows version. To check this, you can refer to the respective Microsoft Support page of your Windows version. Following is the link for Microsoft Support Center:

If you are still unable to resolve the issue, you can try one-by-one the following solutions suggested by Google Support:
Solution 1:
A few programs like internet security apps, anti-virus, or a few firewall applications can prevent Gmail from loading. Some of the common examples include AVG, Avast!, McAfee, and Norton. If you are using any one of these, you can try disabling them temporarily and see if Gmail loads correctly. If it loads, contact the support team of the respective software causing the issue so that you can make necessary changes in its settings to support loading Gmail henceforth. In the meanwhile, you can enable the security program you previously disabled to keep your system security intact though this may disallow you to load Gmail till the changes in the settings are made.
If temporarily disabling one or more programs listed above do not resolve your issue, enable them promptly and try the next solution mentioned below.
Solution 2:
Have you added any extensions or add-ons to your browser recently? At times, such additions may also prevent Gmail from loading correctly. One quick way you can use to confirm if one or more extensions or add-ons are restricting Gmail from loading is to try using safe mode/ incognito/ private browsing mode of your browser. This will disable all the extensions added to your browser and help you to check if any one of them was causing issues for Gmail.
Note:
1) To use "No Add-on" mode of Internet Explorer, you can refer to the following link:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/how-browser-addons-affect-computer#1TC=windows-7
2) To use "Safe Mode" in Mozilla Firefox, you can refer to the following link:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
3) To use "Incognito" mode in Chrome, you can refer to the following link:
https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464?hl=en
4) To deal with add-ons or extensions in Safari, refer to the following link:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3230
If disabling extensions and add-ons helps Gmail to load properly, you can try going into the normal mode of your browser and disable add-ons or extensions one-by-one to check which one is causing the issue. If you are able to detect the one that is preventing Gmail from loading correctly, you may need to refer to the support page of the respective add-on for proper resolution.
If these solutions do not resolve your issue, refer to the following Google Support page to find some more solutions:
