Removing or deleting Trusted Devices from the Micosoft account fixed the problem. There were incorrect and incompatible settings from a previous tablet that were disabling the keyboard. From a different computer, sign in to Microsoft account, Overview, Security, Trusted Devices, select the hotlink Remove all the Trusted Devices associated my account. Refresh Windows completely. All fixed. It might be the same with your computer. Good luck.

How disassambel laptop medion md41700?

Model not found on support site MEDION UK Manual But laptops have small screws holding them together. And snap locks that need to be released gently. I use my finger nails or a razor blade to start pry open the release snaps. To open up a laptop after removing the screws. Each laptop is different, keyboards usually can be removed after removing any screws and prying up from the top (where the F keys are" other screws are under there for getting to the motherboard.
Cables for keyboard video differ by models and makes as well. You have to know the type of connector used for removal and re-locking when putting back togther.

Medion notebook typing normally. getting numbers instead of letters

Examine your keyboard to ensure your "Number Lock" key is not activated.

This activation is indicated by the key being lit up.

If the key is activated, press it to deactivate the lock.

The number lock key will deactivate an entire segment of your keyboard

Start, click Run, and type regedit to open the Windows registry editor.

In the registry, open the below folders.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\
Control Panel\
Keyboard\

Within the keyboard folder, you should have a string value named "InitialKeyboardIndicators" with a value of 0, 1, or 2. Below is the explanation of each of these values.

0 = Num Lock is turned OFF after the logon.
1 = Disable Num Lock.
2 = Numlock is turned ON after the logon.

Cant access menu on defender sn301-8ch

Some things to Try:

Installer Master Code 1397 Selecting this accesses the Main menu. If the menu is locked, you may need to unlock first. To unlock the menu: Select the area the password will be typed and a digital number pad will appear. Type in the password. The default password is 123456. Once you have typed in the password, press the enter button to close the digital number pad. Click "APPLY," if the password is correct the main menu will open. Unlock Menu Prompt Password Setup This menu selection allows you to change the device ID, enable password protection as well as set a new password for users and admin on your DVR. When you enable password protection, you will be prompted to insert a password each time you wish to access the main menu. The DVR will automatically log the user of admin out after 60 seconds. To Change the Device ID: 1. Select the box next to "device ID" and a keyboard will appear. 2. Type the name you would like then select enter to close the keyboard. 3. Select "apply" to save your changes. To Enable Password Protection: 1. Select the scroll bar next to "password enable" and list will appear. 2. Highlight and select "On" to turn the password enable on. 3. Select "apply" to save your changes. To Change the Password You have the option to change the password for user and admin. A user will only be able to access the search menu to view saved footage, whereas an admin will be able to access anything in the menu. Both default passwords are set to 123456. 1. Make sure password enable is set to "ON". 2. Select the ****** box next to the password you would like to change and a keyboard will appear. 3. Type the password you would like then select enter to close the keyboard. 4. Press "Menu" and highlight "Next" to confirm. 5. Type in the same password again, next to "confirm" in order to confirm the password then select enter to close the keyboard. 6. Once you have entered the desired password, select "apply" to save your changes close the keyboard.

How to identify whether the keyboard is in upper or lower case - eg when typing in a password as there is no light or any indication at all (MK250)

On most any keyboard there are 3 lights indicating whether or not your caps lock, num lock, or scroll lock are on. Also my programs have a default notification that lets you know when your typing a password, if the caps lock is on or not!

How do i override the password on my medion notebook laptop?

I assume you are referring to a system (hardware) password that you are challenged for when powering up the laptop, not the operating system password. You can just reinstalll the O/S into another folder to get access to the system and all the data files ...

Two types of system passwords exist;

1 type is the password stored in an area of the mainboard that is called CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) a completely fancy way of saying an area whoes data is kept alive by a battery. You need to know if your model laptop uses a CMOS battery and how you can disconnect it. Go to the manufactures website at: http://www.medion.co.uk/ . If you can pull the battery for 30 minutes or so, then you may erase the password.

2 If you have a system that writes this password to a non-destructive area of the systems memeory in order to prevent data theft, you have a more difficult time removing the password. Some Lenovo systems must swap out the main board. the password cannot be accessed. Try the battery if you can, else Google medion laptop hacks

I have a Medion keyboard with my purchase of Medion PC model MT7. There is no light to indicate that Caps Lock is on - this creates difficulty when writing passwords with caps lock as the result is...

If this is a wireless keyboard there should be some kind of software that comes with it. The software should alert you when you push like scroll lock, caps lock, or num lock.

Or you can use this nifty little program that costs about $25. It stays in the icon tray and will notify you when you push any of those buttons. Here is a link to that website http://www.programurl.com/clever-keyboard-indicator.htm

Software problem

There is usually an IP address you have to type to get access to this hardware. Often you don't need the CD to install this hardware. The IP address is usually 192.168.0.1 for routers. Sometimes they differ. To find out if you go to start then run. When a box appears type in there cmd then press enter on your keyboard. This should bring you to DOS. Black page with white text. If you type into that box ipconfig and then press enter on your keyboard.The IP address you see net to the default gateway is your router address. Writed down those numbers and that box you are in just type the word exit and press enter on your keyboard and that box will disappear.Type that IP address into your address bar by opening up your browser. This will bring you to the hardware page of your router.You can do all the confguring from this page. Sometimes a box with user name and password appears. The username is usually admin and the password is either password, admin or these is no password so you just press enter on your keyboard and then when you're in start configuring. Run the setup wizard first before you do anything else. Then I would go to wireless and password protect your network. I usually password the router as well. This option is in the setup wizard you did earlier. Good luck
