My trouble codes are Er FF on my kenmore elite

Model number 795 it's an LG fridge. Even if it says Kenmore on it. LG is the manufacturer of that fridge. If it's a newer fridge & or your the original owner. Take the kick plate off the bottom front of the fridge. Either in that kick plate or looking in were that kick plate was on the top wall of the bottom of the fridge you'll see a plastic envelope with sone folded up papers in it. Those white pages are called tech sheets for the tech that comes to your house to fix your fridge. They are best left under the fridge or in the kick plate but alot of the time they aren't put back. Why I asked if yiur the original owner. If you are able to locate those tech sheets. They should list the trouble codes and what the code stands for. I don't remember what it stands for. Taking a guess it means error fresh food or er/ff. Don't quote me on it I'm not sure of my answer but I think it's a faulty thermistor in the fresh food section. Fresh food section is the refrigerator section. Please check to make sure you have the correct problem before doing anything. I'm taking a guess just from memory as to what the error code is. At least with the tech sheets, hope they are there. You'll be able to find out what the code means.

faulty cercit board is what you have there sorry to say but it dose happen every so often get in touch with the poeple who you got it off and have the engineer look at it

Thanks for using FixYa. Error ff is freezer fan fault. This usually happens when either the rear board has gone bad or the freezer fan itself is bad and needs to be replaced. To check what is causing the error you can start with checking the fan which is located behind the back wall inside the freezer. Also check the rear board as it might not be putting the fridge into defrost long enough and is causing the ice to build up in the freezer and thus stopping the freezer fan from turning and so causing ff error. Leave the fridge unplugged for 24hrs which will melt all the ice then plug it back if still the issue is not resolved and you hear the fan running then it is the rear board that needs to be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

I pulled plug out of the wall socket waited a minute re-plugged unit in and so far error hasn't come back.

Possible sesor error. Unplug for bout 10 min then plug back up.

FF usually means the freezer fan is not working. If the fridge is cooling poorly, check to see if the fan inside is running while the compressor is running. If not, and if there's no ice jamming it, then you need a new evaporator fan. If the fridge is cooling normally and the only symptom is the error code, then it could be a problem in the electronic control.
