Tip & How-To about Cfm 802 Ecofan Table
Caframo advertises a feature in this fan which will shut the fan down if it gets too hot, and then start it again when the fan cools down. In fact, this feature is heat sink compound between the two halves of the body (which are each heat sinks) and the power plate between them. That compound breaks down over time and use. If the fan stops working, take it apart and scrape that compound off (it was silver on my fan), and replace the compound with a thin coat of CPU heat sink compound from an electronics store. Put the fan back together and let the compound set up over night before placing the fan back on your stove. Should work like new!
