There is baked on crud in the glasses after the cycle is over. I've cleaned the screen at the pump because it is clogged, and that fixes it, but it gets clogged again real soon. I also replaced the litle spinning propeller that is supposed to clean the screen but i think that it's not spinning. How do I test or repair that? Steve

Run the washer on some empty cycles with the cleaning solution/powder/tablets you usually use. Also rinse the dishes etc before you put them in the washer

SOURCE: top rack not cleaning and spray arm possibly not moving

Hello--our Kenmore Elite has been showing exactly the same symptoms.  Since it's under warranty I had a technician take a look at it, in fact he just finished putting it back together: problem was accumulated food and junk around the inlet filter to the pipe that leads to the upper racks.  You can only get to this area by removing the lower spray arm, filter assembly, etc. until you are looking at the sump/chopper area.  Any clogging should be self evident at that point.
This would be an easy repair for anyone with a few tools and the willingness to get into it.  Seems to be working very well.  We will be rinsing more thoroughly in the future...

There is always water left in the drain at the bottom of the dishwasher, which gets sprayed back on the dishes so now my glasses have material on them and it gets baked on in the dry cycle....

Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

I have an E20 code on my front loading Frigidaire gallery series washing machine, what does this mean and how does my husband fix it. Also, has anyone had problems with the matching dryer destroying...

That E20 could be a bad pump or clogged pump screen. Remove and clean out the tub to pump hose. Look for object in pump. A clogged airline to the pressure switch can also give the E20 code. The switch thinks there is still water in the tub when in fact there is crud in the end of the hose.
Hope this helps!

Always little crumbs in glasses on top rack

Cleaning screens is part of regular use of the dishwasher and how to should be included in the user guide. If you don't have one look for it on the internet by searching for user manual for your model number which can be usually found on the side of the door or frame where the door closes. Good luck.

Dishwasher not draining

The dishwasher drain pump or drain hose is partially blocked by either food or a chunk of broken glass or something like that. To remove the blockage you must remove the lower front panel and then you will see where the drain hose leads into a little pump near the floor. Remove the hose clamp and unscrew the little pump from the frame. Check out both the pump and the hose for an obstruction and remove it.

Small ammount of water leaks at bottom of door during wash

I have this same problem. What I do is carefully clean the part of the glass door where it meets the rubber gasket when you close the door. Bits of crud tend to accumulate there and break the seal between the smooth glass and the rubber gasket. This causes small amounts of water to leak out.

I don't use an abrasive cleanser. I generally clean it when it is dry and crusty with my hand or with my fingernails if it stubborn. You don't want to scratch the smooth glass surface. fingernails are much softer than glass and won't scratch the glass.

I also take a look at the rubber gasket and see if there is any crud sticking on that and very gently clean it off when it is dry and crusty. If the gasket gets torn, you'll probably need to replace it. I don't know how much that would cost. This should stop the dribbles.

Cheers,
Zac
