I can't download my pictures off of my Kodak EasyShare M753 digital camera onto my computer. The computer doesn't even recognize that the camera is attached to the computer.

The battery life is quoted as 250-350 pictures in auto mode. This would be for a new battery and camera and it is likely that the number of recharging cycles on a 7 year life will have led to some deterioration in the battery life. Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.



The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.


Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Did you install the software onto the apple?
The program may not work with the apple.

Hi it dont need to be on whilst charging, some cameras will switch themselves on when you plug them into the computer, but you can still turn it off, now you need to bare in mind that unless you are using a powered usb port is one that plugs into the mains then into your computer you may have problems charging the camera enough through the computers own usb port, it may still charge so you will have to try some cameras will just power up enough to enable you to transfer pictures onto your computer.

give it a try and see how you get on, it wont matter if the camera is on or off whilst plugged into computer how ever it will charge quicker with the camera off if it will even charge at all

Use a cardreader to download your pictures.

the only way to get your pictures off the camera and on to your computer is to get a sd card reader off ebay they are pretty cheap there or get one from radio shack. plug this into the usb port put your card in it and wala you have access through my computer to get your pictures. hope this helps if you need any more help cantact me at digitalcamrepair.com.

you mean a kodak m753? i have one they should just download liek a picture, except it will be a video. just plug it into your computer, and if that doesn't work maybe you're looking for it in the wrong place.
