Of course the problem may be with the movement, but, if I was working on your watch I would carefully inspect that the battery was put in right and second I would check the conditiion of the battery. It is always possible that the battery may too old. They d have a shelf life. Also, if I were working on your watch I would be able to test the movement to see of the gears in the movement were stuck because of gummy oils, etc. I have the equipment to unstick a movement. The bottom line maybe that you will need the movemet replaced as this is generally much cheaper than the labor to get yours working again. Good Luck
