Western snow plow when you try to angle to right it goes up does same thing if you try to angle left

The switches, solenoids and relays all need testing. Early October was the best time to get it serviced. Take it into your nearest hitch / plow place.

When you go to angle the Blade can you see the Hydro Hoses jump a bit as though they are trying to flow fluid?

There is a hydraulic block/valve. Replace it.

Hydraulic fluid doesn't really freeze. When it does, we wouldn't be around to see it. You need to go threw electrical. Go to there web site and see if you can get a diagram for it. Old systems are fairly easy to go threw. Newer ones have PC boards. Older ones, the stick/switches go bad first. But it always wise to loosen, then tighten the nuts that hold wires first. Corrosion sets in because it isn't used for so long.

My plow went up it was jerking and did it in steps , but , it got there . Now , it onlyjerks when i try to angle it right or left or up . I filled the fluid ... Drop it and if it doesn'traise you can just use a jack and shorten the transport chain to hold it. .... I do havecontinuity on the plow side for all 3 wires going to the plug . It sounds like a faulty valve. Some valves use O-rings to seal between ports and they may have failed. I would check the lines for trapped air first.

My western snow plow will not go up or left or right with joystick. I can use a screw driver and make contact on the silanoid and then move the cables with the joy stick and then it will work. I have relaced selinoid and contacts. any ideas? Stomped

IVE NEVER WORKED ON A SNOWPLOW BUT NOONE ELSE IS OFFERING ANY HELP. IT SOUNDS LIKE FLUID IS LEAKING BY THE VALVE AND PRESSURIZING THE LEFT SIDE ALL THE TIME. IT ALSO COULD BE YOUR NO-SPILL COUPLERS CLOGGED OR NOT OPENING FULLY PREVENTING FLOW OF FLUID ON THE LEFT SIDE. GOOD LUCK. JODY
