I repeatedly get the message "Power Surge on Hub Port: A USB device has malfunctioned and exceeded the power limits of its hub port. You should disconnect the device." This is despite the fact that no device is plugged in. It doesn't seem to affect the functionality of the computer as far as I can tell but it is still concerning. Any advice on how to address this?
I am having the exact same issue. The disabling solution is helpful in removing the error balloons, but I lose USB funtion and whenever I require a USB connection, I must re-enable the device. The error does not seem to be having any affect on the connected equipment. However, the error balloon is very annoying. Is there any way to correct the problem rather than temporary disabling?
