Hi, You say that it will light and then shut-off when the ELECTRIC pilot shuts off? If it has an automatic pilot ignition, it wouldn't have a thermocouple? It would have an ignition module with a flame sensor. Could you check this for me and let me know which one you have for sure? I can help you out better if I knew. Thank you and please get back to me.
Sincerely, Shastalaker7
Ps If it is electronic, there will be a flame sensor mounted next to the pilot. It has a ceramic body with a metal rod coming from the end.You can take a piece of steel wool not sand paper and clean the metal rod (sensor). The pilot flame will surround this keeping the burners on.After cleaning it, and if the pilot continues to go out, I would say that you're ignition module has an intermittent internal problem, and needs to be changed.

I have a carrier 58RAV050-12 and my furnace won't turn on. It was working earlier today but it just stopped. Any suggestions as to why?

Check the pilot lt. If its out shutdown your furnace and call a repairman. If the pilot light is on, the flame sensor might have gone out. It's a long silver sensor that sits in the pilot light flame and senses when the flame is present. If it isn't working the furnace will automatically shut down.

What do I need to do to covert from propane to natural gas on 100,000 BTU furnace ? It is a weather king md.80PJ10ECR01

Take your Model and serial number to an HVAC parts house and they will get a kit for you that switches over from propane to natural gas. The spring in the valve is different and the orifices are different. Propane runs about 10 to, 11 inches of water where natural gas is about 2.5 to three. So if you did not change the springs and orifices you will cause the furnace to over heat and posibly catch on fire. These kits are easy to change the orifices just unscrew. The top of the gas valve has cover over the spring and an ajustment screw inside just remove that and pull out old spring and insert new one. Be careful with the springs they are very tiny and not much thicker than human hair. You really need to get someone to set the pressure for you. Feedback welcome Rus

Carrier Gas Furnace runs fine randomly stops blowing LEDs flash

That blinking light may be the diagnostic light. Count the blinks next time it fails. Carrier units will have two different blinks depicting the error code such as one blink followed by a pause than 3 blinks giving you an error code of 13. Then look at the wiring diagram, it will have an error code chart telling you where to start with your diagnosis. You already know that if you remove the cover it erases the error code, so look thru the small window first.

WeatherKing Acclaim II

  1. The sensor that tells the furnace whether the gas is lit has got build-up on it and is giving the furnace bad information.
  2. The flame sensor is often a single wire or rod that sticks up in the center of the flame.
  3. You can shut off the furnace and the gas and clean the sensor with some sandpaper.
If that still doesn't work, the sensor may need to be replaced.

Please rate this solution.

Gas not coming on Carrier Weather Maker 8000

either the gas valve is not opening or your not getting gas to the furnace.  also the gas valve won't open unless the draft motor comes on.  if the ignitor is trying to light, but there's no gas, it might be a bad gas valve. i would call your closest NATE certified contractor
