This camera has been discontinued, and is no longer sold as new. There are still vendors that sell accessories for this camera including batteries and SD memory cards. A google search of "dimage g400 memory" reveals a number of retailers that sell SD cards of varying sizes up to 2 GB specifically for this camera.

Going beyond 2 GB however, will probably give mixed results, as most cards 4 GB (the next size up from 2 GB) are SDHC type cards. An SDHC card looks identical to the SD counterpart, but is manufactured to a different specification. The SDHC specification was developed after you camera was made, so use of cards bearing the SDHC mark is not supported.

I hope this helps!

Card is protected error message

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

8 Gb SD card not recognized by Minolta DiMage Z6 digital camera. What is maximum size SD card this camera can address?

The Z6 works with MMC and SD cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use MMC or SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

WHAT 2GB BRAND SHOULD I USE FOR MY MINOLTA DIMAGE S414 CAMERA

Any brand will do, but use only old type 2GB SD cards, no SDHC types.
I would recommend Transcend, Kingston or Sandisk, etc.

What size sd card can i use in a dimage z1

You may use any size SD card. Bear in mind that SD cards max out at 2GB. Larger cards are actually SDHC cards and won't work in the Z1.

Minolta Z6 SDHC memory limits? Only a 2gb standard SD seems to work. Any input?

The Z6 works with SD and MMC cards. It does not work with SDHC cards at all, whatever their size. SD cards are limited to 2GB in size.

Z3 will not accept a 2g card

The Dimage Z3 accept SD cards up to 1GB (Minolta says 512 Mb, and sold it with 16Mb). This camera is 4MP , and uses less memory on card, therefore a 512MB card will be enough for it.

from $13 - 20 stores

PNY Flash memory card - 512 MB SD Memory Card ...

from $3 - 2 stores

SanDisk SD Industrial Flash memory card - 512 ... from $14

Here 1 Gb, try at your risk, but they normally work:

SD max size

I don't have any first-hand information, but you'll probably be ok as long as you stay under capacities of 2GB. The original SD specification only allowed cards up to 2GB to be compliant with the standard, so I think that pretty much every camera that has an SD slot can handle 2GB capacities.

Compatibility of sdhc card with konica milota Dimage Z10

Your camera will accept a maximum SD card capacity of 2GB. It simply isn't capable of handling anything of a larger capacity and in particular is incompatible with the more technically advanced SDHC cards.

Your fix is to either replace your camera with a later model or to stick to using SD cards with a maximum 2GB capacity.
