Remove unshielded speakers or other metallic objects near the TV. It can cause picture distortion.

Tune the TV to channel or cable program.
Run the TV for at least 30 minutes.
Press FLASH FOCUS on the front panel of the TV.
A cross pattern appears and FLASH FOCUS begins to
work. The adjustment is completed when the cross pattern becomes white and you are returned to the program you were watching.

You cannot perform any other functions until FLASH FOCUS has
completed its cycle. If you perform any other operation while FLASH FOCUS is in progress, FLASH FOCUS operation is canceled.

Most likely scenario is that the auto convergence option has disappeared which will cause the set to have an arced picture with double images. You can get the RCA repair kit called ITC222 & ITC222A convergence option missing repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the replacement parts and the CD with instructions.

You have a convergence malfunction.......the convergence ic's and the protecter picp fuses in the power are will need to be replaced by a qualified perso. A reputable shop may charge around $300 to repair. If you have technical ability,I can guide you further to repair yourself as well

Picture has ''double vision'' with red.

This is a common problem. Its called a convergence failure.

Problem #1) Convergence

Symptoms:

Screen Looks 3D
Colors wont align
Screen may look distorted
TV shutdown - does not display video

Problem #2 CRT Fluid has clouded over. Symtoms

Dull looking video
White looking video
Halos around objects
Red/Orange looking video

My Mitsubishi HD 1080 Model WS-55809 - the colors are distored. The picture is like double vision. For example the menu words all have yellow & red shadows.

Ur convergence it dead.U know how to solders?Buy a convergence kit.These websites have the kit.Tv repair World.com,Tv repair kits.

You need repair in the convergence circuit, purchase KIT 10. You can buy this at B&D ENTERPRISES, at 1-800-458-6053.

Help with my double vision

What model is your tv? Panasonics have a 'self-alignment' system in the menu, or a manual alignment that the menu will actually walk you through. Other System's will be able to do that also, such as Hitachi.
