Sceptre x20wg 1080p monitor

I've been using a sceptre x20wg 1080p monitor for about 9 months then it stopped working. Whenever i try to turn it on, the blue led light, just blinks on and off. It's not my video card, i've already tested it with another screen. I've try to plug the sceptre to another computer, but same thing. Can anyone help me.

In case you know very well electronics, you must open the cover of your monitor and find a fuse burned. You change this. You must repair power supply which supports voltage to work light on your screen. You must be expert to repair this.

SCEPTRE X322BV, HDTV BLUE LED COMES ON WHEN POWERING UP, BUT NO PICTURE OR SOUND

I have the X322BV-HD and with no warning had the same thing happen. I"ve scoured the net and found very little--just as here on this site. I just got off the phone with a tech support rep at sceptor and got the following information:

HOW TO DO A FACTORY RESET:
  1. (Tech said this will often work even though you won't see anything on the screen--as long as the blue light is still on!) On the remote, press [MENU] and then 3 - 6 - 9 - 8 (If it's accepted, the TV will turn itself off.)
  2. Wait 10 seconds.
  3. Turn the TV back on and it will be back to all factory defaults.
That didn't work for me. But the second option, a Power Cycle Reset did.

POWER CYCLE RESET:
  1. Unplug the power cord and wait 10-15 minutes (extremely important, I used a timer set for 16 minutes just to be sure).
  2. While it is still unplugged, press and hold the [POWER] button for at LEAST 30 SECONDS - DO NOT RELEASE!
  3. While continuing to hold the [POWER] button, plug the TV back in.

The second option worked for me and it's back on working just fine. Hope this helps!

20inch monitor only has video for fraction of a second. then goes out. does this every minute or so. i used vga instead of dvi, same. i used mobo instead of video card, same. picture comes to second screen...

It may have power supply problem due to bad DC filter caps, bad backlights inverter circuits, and worst case will be the lamp assemblies.
You need to open it up and check the caps in the power supply section first.

Hi My monitor that i have used to let us shut off the monitor manually, it no longer does it reads key lock whenever we try to turn it off and if we try to adjust any settings it will read key lock in the...

I'm not aware of any ability to lock the keys on any monitor I've seen. I've not used a lot of Scepter monitors but it seems like a rather pointless option to have. So unfortunately the monitor seems to be malfunctioning and will have to be repaired or replaced.
The only thing i can suggest trying is unplugging the monitors power cable for a few seconds in hopes it will reset the monitors control buttons.

My Sceptre x20wg has gone blank. The blue light is on and "clicks" every couple of seconds. There is no display

If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed Sceptre and all monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

I have a 20 sceptre widescreen lcd monitor

Have you tried any other monitor connected to your computer since your current problem? Check your connections, make sure your VGA cable/DVI cable are in good condition. If none of that works try to RMA it to sceptre if your still within the 1 year period.

Monitor displays breifly then goes to blank screen

I am not familiar with your particular model, but I do know what the problem is.
The inverter that runs the lights behind the screen is faulty and needs to be repaired. The lights shine from the top and bottom and reflect outwards through the panel so you can see what is on the screen. If you start the computer up, then shine a bright light into the panel you will see an image on the screen, but very feintly.
This can be cheap, it can also be expensive depending on where you go to get it repaired. Call aorund to a few TV shops in your area to get a rough idea on prices.

Hope that helps =)

32" Sceptre LCD No POwer

0939a31.jpg This is the same problem I am having with my Speptre X20WG Naga Monitor.
The power LEDS are usually red in standby and blue in opp; but now they just go purple and nothing happens..no sound no picture. I called tech support and no dice they just wanted my money, but I think all we might have to do is change a fuse on the main pcb! As you can see the white arrow isnt really pointing to anything specific! I think the fuse is the lt blue component, but am not sure. This is all I can offer! If you gat any good tips or if anyone else finds a fix please email me [email protected].
Thanks! and good luck m007!
