My washer spin if I put in on FINAL SPIN cycle. However, if I start the cycle at the beggining, water just keep going in and straight out the drain so the cycle never started. Is my drain motor broken????
Hi,
Sounds like your drain is laying on the floor, or your stand pipe is too low, or the drain hose is too far down in the stand pipe. The drain must be at least as hi as your water level in the machine at it's fullest level, otherwise it will just siphons out almost as quickly as it fills.
Hope that helps,
Good Luck.
Hi,
I am speaking of the "drain hose". It has to be in the drain stand pipe, but not shoved down into the pipe, otherwise the water syphons out. You said the water fills but empties before it washes. That doesn't sound like a faulty pump to me. But like you said, If you've had a tech. On site, then I'm at a disadvantage. Get them to chamge the pump if they think it's the pump. I can only diagnos in general or common solutions based on the info given, or how I interpret the info provided.
Hope that clears it up for you,
good luck :)

Sorry I don't get it. The pump/drain is at the bottom of the machine already. I did get a technician looked at it and he said the drain motor is broken and need to be replace. I checked and the part cost $180. Is there a way to really check to make sure the drain motor is really broken or it just has something stuck? Thanks.
