I installed a new antenna. I think I need to scan, but don't know ho. It is a Polaroid TV FLM 3201 model

It looks like you have the Source Select to "ypbpr".
Press the menu button to display main menu.
If this is the first time you have used a Digital TV you will have to do the following.
> Connect the signal source either antenna or cable to the back of set.
> Select the same signal source in the menu. CH
> Choose submenu between TV and cable
> Scan the channels. Auto Search
>Save and exit the menu. Press OK

It can be power supply problem, that will be the first place to check. Local shop may charge $50 just to look at it, typical repair are from $150~300 range.

This tv would need a converter box. It does not appear to have a digital atsc tuner in order for you to get digital over the air channels. Searching for channels is on page 18 of the manual

I think a new control board is in order, can I please get complete model, serial and manufacture date?

Sounds like the back light is out, and the unit needs servicing. You can check this by shining a flashlight close to the surface, and if some image is seen, the the back light is the cause. Else the LCD driver is gone.

The part number is 6LM00220G0 and is priced at $80.54 at circuit city repair. It is easy to install once you remove the cover from the back of the TV and the housing for the power supply.

If you have no power light at all on the front of your tv. Check the fuse by the power coard.

If you have a red light only and have the dark power board with black heat sinks. check the fuse in the center of the power board.

if the light turns blue when you hit the power button but no picture and have the dark power board replace the 2- 1000 mfd 10 volts caps with 2- 1000 mfd 16 volt caps at 105 deg.
