I need a five-point screwdriver to remove the screws on the back of my Sony CLIE UX50 PDA so I can replace the battery. Where can I get one? This is NOT a six-point Torx screwdriver.

I have a Sony Clie and I want to replace the battery and I all ready unscrewed all six screws on both sides but the back still wont come off. Is there another screw?

Hello,

there is no other screw, the cover is clipped together, that's why you cannot remove it.

Use a flat screw driver to open it from the sides that is clipped together, you need to apply force in order to open it.

You could still further check for any screw, but I doubt if there is any.

Good luck.

Problem with Sony Clie - NX70V/E - battery

i just replaced the battery on my NX60. It was a very easy task. Look on the net for batteries. I found a battery for $18 plus S/H. It came with the special plastic screw driver and instructions. I just threw everything away or I would give you the company name. I found several. The instructions are easy. Simply remove the screw ofr the barrtey compartment and all the scrws holding on the back. Remove the back, carefully remove the battery, carefully replace the battery making sure you place the wires in the correct position. Replace the back and screw the thing together. You can also order a battery from Batteries Plus. The original battery in my machine was 1000 ma the newer batteries are 1200 ma. Good luck.
