Washer will suddenly stop with 1 minute left on cycle and shows the F11 error code...at times it may show the FdL code. The washer will then not finish no matter what I do. If I unplug the unit from the outlet that does not guarantee that when I plug it back in it will start up. Fifty percent of the time it still shows the F11 error. It can take hours to finally get the washer to cancel out so I can take the laundry out that has not been spun out.
The F11 error code indicates a serial communication problem between the central control board and the motor control board. This can be caused by:
A loose or failed wire harness connection between the central control board and the motor control board.
A bad wire harness connection between the motor control board and the drive motor.
A failed drive motor.
A defective motor control board.
A failure in the central control board.
The diagnosis of this failure usually requires a technician. If you are able to unplug the washer and safely access the central control board and motor control board, you can check for a loose wire harness connection.

to identify specific problems with your washer. Once you close your
Maytag Neptune's door, the machine locks the door, goes through the
selected wash cycles and unlocks the door when the laundry is finished.
Error codes appear when there are problems with the door, the inflow and
drainage of water and the motor.
Do
Your Maytag Neptune washer displays the "do" help code when the washing machine
is trying to start a cycle, but the door is open or not locked
properly. If this message is displayed, close the door securely and
restart the washing cycle.
FL
The "FL" code indicates that the washing machine was unable to
lock the door after you closed it. Open and close the door tightly, then
restart the washing cycle.
Sd
The "Sd" code indicates that you have added too much detergent to
the washing machine and your laundry has too many suds. The machine
will stop displaying this code if it has successfully run the suds
recovery cycle, which removes the excess suds from the wash load. If the
code remains, reduce the amount of detergent in the load. Use less
detergent for similar loads of laundry in the future.
PF
The "PF" code indicates that a power failure has occurred.
Restart the wash cycle. If the code still appears, check that the
washing machine is still plugged in to the electrical outlet.
Nd
The "nd" code indicates that your Maytag Neptune is not draining
as it should. Check that the drain hose isn't kinked and that the stand
pipe isn't clogged. If you find either of these problems, fix them
before restarting the washing cycle.
LO
The "LO" code appears when the washing machine has finished the
selected wash cycle, but cannot unlock the door. Verify that the door is
closed properly, push the "Off" button, and wait two minutes. The door
should unlock and the error code will disappear. If the error code
remains, unplug the washing machine, wait two minutes and plug it back
into the electrical outlet.
Lr
The "Lr" code indicates that the washing machine's motor is not
running as it should. Have your Maytag Neptune washing machine serviced
by a certified Maytag repair professional.
the nd error which is showing up in the unit is due to something blocking the motor.mostly its a blockage to the motor and rarely its a faulty motor.it can be anything like hairpin,socks,coins any metallic object this has to be checked and reoved the error will go. washer has a latch and lock on the door. If this lock fails to open when the cycle is finished. You can rescue your clothes by: 1) Remove the bezel from the soap/bleach/fabric softener dispenser. 2) Locate the red cord near the right front corner of the dispenser opening. Pull on this red cord. This will unlatch the door so you can rescue your laundry. Then call for service.

This error code indicates that the door is not locking. Is the washer door firmly shut?
The door must be completely closed for the washer to operate. The door may look as if it's closed, but it may not be latched. Open the door and firmly close it. Were you washing a large load?
Before you close the washer door, check for laundry items sticking out beyond the door opening. Leave enough space in the washer to allow the clothes to freely tumble. Reduce your load size if needed. To remove the error display, press Pause/Cancel twice.
If Pause/Cancel does not work:
Unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute.
Plug in the washer or reconnect the power.
Re-select the cycle and press Start.
NOTE: If the error remains on the display, and all of the other conditions above have been checked, call for service.
Here are the steps to unlocking the door manually if clothes are still in the machine. 1.Unplug machine 2.remove bottom panel 3.Reach up along the inside of the front panel and locate the botttom of the door latch assembly 4.Located on the bottom of the door latch assembly is a tear dropped shaped tab 5. Gently pull down on the tab about a 1/4 inch or until a click is heard. 6. You may now open the door.
This code means the control is unable to properly detect motor speed. Due to this the machine shut itself down.
I know it seems like a lot with the second link. In most cases I have found, the CCU is the cause of the F11 error code, but read through the information carefully and doublecheck everything. It can be replaced if you wish to perform the repair yourself. I hope this helps you.
