Can you tell me why my Altec Lansing ATP3 pc speakers when I turn up volume above a very low volume level?

    Can you tell me why my Boston Acoustics BA735 Computer Speakers are cutting out at higher volume , when I turn up volume above a very low volume level?

Check the power /voltage printed at back side of speaker ,test w/ volt meter /if supply not enough current to drive the amplifier.The sound are very low and humming.
