Red ! mark. LCD panel says: Error...Printer

Red ! mark. LCD panel says: Error...Printer error....see your documentation and call service engineer if necessary.

We have had this printer a couple of years has has been really good with no problems and now wont print.

    The printer will not work at all, it is showing a red exclamation mark and the LCD panel is saying Error.....printer error....see you doumentation and call service engineer if necessary. I cannot find anything in the basic operation guide that relates to this.

The waste ink tank is full.Read this instruction.
If this not help there is a manual reset for this printers but I'm not tried yet.

  • Press and hold B/W+COLOR+STOP button.
  • Press power button, don’t release all button until you see the led indicator blinking and a message display on the LCD.
  • Release the button.
  • Press COLOR button to clear protection counter
  • Turn off the printer by pressing power button.
  • DONE!

***Manually clear the print queue***
1) Open the "Services" panel. The easiest way to do this is click "Start" and type "Services.msc" (no quotes) in the search box.
2) Scroll down the list of services to find and select "Print Spooler". Click "Stop" in the left panel.
3) Open Windows Explorer ("Computer" in the Start menu). Navigate to the spooler directory (typically "C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS") .
4) Delete the files in the directory.
5) Go back to the Services panel and click "Start".

Error C0...Xerox WorkCentre 5020DN Printer

C-0 declares that the size of the document you are trying to print is incorrect with the paper size you have in your machine's tray. To remove the error, press the red button on the control panel and check the size of the document within the printing properties. If the papre size of the document and the paper in the tray are correct then try to use another tray or bypass tray. If the problem still persists, call for service.

Get error message "Printer error: see your documentation and call service if necessary."

I found this on another website and it worked for me. It apparently resets the printer. Hope it works for you:

1.) power on (error message)
2.) press the "Stop (triangle)" and the "Colour copy" button and hold them
3.) press the power button to power off, still hold 2.)
4.) press the power button to power on, still holding 2.)
5.) the LEDs start to flash, then they stop to flash and the red exclamation mark starts to flash. Now release 2.)

6.) the LED should say: "Init EEprom"
7.) now press and hold the power button until the printer powers off and powers on again.

It reads Printer Error - see your documentation

this means your printer waste pads are full and the printer needs to be reset for it to work again or it can just be reset

Trhe printer has stopped working completely

just try to do a hard reset of the printer. this iwll solve the problem.

Help Epson CX3200

Hi,

I just like to ask to where specifically you can see the red light. It will help us determine what cause the red light. To give you heads up as well, the Printer's LCD screen can help us determine what exactly the offline condition of the CX3200 is:


Error message: No color or black ink cartridge-->Press the Color Copy button to install a new ink cartridge.
Solution: The indicated ink cartridge is not installed. Please install the necessary cartridge(s).

Error message: Color or black ink out -- >Press the Color Copy button to begin replacing the ink cartridge.
Solution: The indicated ink cartridge is out of ink. You will need to replace the necessary ink cartridge(s).


Error Message: Ink cartridge error -- > Press the Color Copy button to begin replacing the ink cartridge.
Solution: There is something wrong with the ink cartridge. Make sure the cartridge is genuine Epson ink. Also, try reseating the cartridge (remove it, and then reinstall it).

Error Message: Paper jam or misfeed -- > Press the Color Copy button and clear the paper jam by hand if necessary.
Solution: Paper is jammed. Check for any obstructions under the unit's cover, and in the paper tray.

Error Message: Paper out -- > Load paper in the sheet feeder and press the Color Copy button.
Solution: Load paper in the sheet feeder, and then press the Color Copy button to continue printing.

Error Message: Scanner unit open -- > close the scanner unit
Solution: Carefully close the scanner and press it down until it clicks securely into place.

Error Message: Scanner error -- > See your documentation and call service if necessary.
Solution: Press the ON button to turn off the Epson Stylus CX3200. Unlock the transportation lock, if necessary. If it is already unlocked, toggle the lock back and forth, 5-10 times. Turn on your Stylus CX3200 again.


Error Message: Printer error -- > See your documentation and call service if necessary.
Solution: Press the ON button to turn off the Epson Stylus CX3200. Disconnect it from power, and then reconnect it to power. Press the ON button to turn on the Stylus CX3200.

That what service manual says:

Service Req xyyyy
A Controller error or print engine error detected. Turn off the printer. Wait at least 5 seconds and then turn it back on. If the error message still appears, write down the error number listed on the LCD panel (xyyyy) and turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, and contact a qualified service representative
