The amp powers on but there is no sound. It does not go into protection.I tried installing it in another car to no prevail same problem. I swapped the amp out and the music plays just fine. What could possibly be the problem with the amp
I HAVE TWO OF THESE AMPLIFIERS MYSELF. IT IS NO DOUBT AN INTERNAL PROBLEM BECAUSE THROUGH THE PROCESS OF ELIMINATION, YOU HAVE DONE ALL THAT YOU CAN DO AND IT POINTS TO THE AMPLIFIER ITSELF. AS FOR THE CAUSE FOR ITS FAILURE, THERE ARE MANY, BUT IT IS MORE THAN LIKELY IN THE INPUT CIRCUITS AS FAULTS IN THE POWER SUPPLY OR OUTPUT SECTION WOULD MORE THAN LIKELY SHOW UP TRIPPING THE PROTECTION CIRCUITRY. It does light up for a few seconds but then the green power light comes on like it should but still no sound. The amp still heats up like it working fine. I have not removed the bottom because I have no idea what I would be looking for.
The protect LED should light up for a few seconds after initially applying remote voltage. Is this happening? Have you removed the bottom cover to determine if there is any visible damage?
