Make sure there are no obstructions in the drain area of the dishwasher. make sure where the drain hose comes out of the pump, it is routed high up. as high as the top of the dishwasher and then back down to where it attaches to the sink drain. most people secure it to the bottom of the countertop. disconnect the the dishwasher drain where it goes into the kitchen sink drain and look for obstructions. it is most likely in this area that the problem will be.

I have a whirlpool washer about 10 yrs old, not sure of model. Machine just ran for over 10 hrs yesterday. Did not overflow just keeps putting water in drains and never spins out.

It really can be a few things. On a 10 yr old washer I would not spend any money. If you can not go new I can always get a working washer for $100 or less on CL or Facebook Market Place

Janet I am VERY SURPRISED at this Whirlpool would do this...Shame on it! LOL. OK, Enough goofing around! Da Problem is Z in the Tub! It can be the following 1) Tub Seal (Most common) 2) Pump not draining (Second Most) 3) Washer exterior Drain to house. I forgot to mention this Is Very Common!. Janet these are the Easy fixes. The hard ones involve the tub being cracked (OMG!) or hose connections are cracked to/from washer and interior. Using the Wrong Soap! I know it is a reach but I have to mention it. If it is not the tub seal or the tub. You Gotta problem and you have to weigh the age of your washer vs purchasing a New one. If it is less than a yr old the Manufacture will take care of it. If you call Sears, plan on at least around $130+Parts. That may Pay for itself cause the person repairing it will guarantee the work. Good luck

Only 1 yr old so I assume its a simple fault like partial blockage at pump. Remove filter bottom right of machine check and clean if needed . remember to use an old towel fist as this will contain around half pint of water assuming its drained 1stly , Always unplug machine from Electrics before any repairs, Good luck.

your better off just replacing the pump. you probably have broken glass or something else stuck inside the pump. to get to it you're going to have to remove the kick panel from the bottom of the machine. just follow the drain hose and you will see the pump.

Washer less than a year old. Top loading. Will

Have you moved recently, or moved the washer for any reason?

Two things can usually cause that.

First, Some part of the drain hose must always be higher than the highest possible water level in the machine. Remember that water flows downhill. If all the hose is lower then the highest possible water level the machine can never fill since water will drain out hose. So, raise the hose higher than the flat top of the washer and try again.

2A, Inserting the drain hose too far into the house drain. or 2B, sealing out ALL air in the drain line by using a hose too tight in the drain pipe or taping the drain pipe tightly with the drain hose in it can both create a vacuum in the drain line which will actually **** out all the water in the tub. This can be tested by pulling the drain all the way out and aiming it into the tub as you try it. Good Luck.

Tub fills only 1/2 full but water keeps running as if the tub is not full. If the water level is set to 1/2 or less, tub fills 1/2 full and begins to cycle. The water is running into the tub but not...

Check the drain hose to make sure you have a high loop, ie. make sure the drain hose loops above the height of the washer lid before going to the drain pipe.
Also make sure the drain hose is not going too far down into the drain pipe.
You may be getting a siphon effect.
