Voice mail issue

I couldn't see the flashing prompt for the incoming message, and no new message left on the phone set even I heard the greeeting and I left the message there. I talked with the Rogers carrier, it seems not their problem as I can access their mail box and retrive the message there. Could anyone help me to fix this problem?

Here is what is suppose to happen. Once you leave a message at Rogers, they are to send your phone a "stutter dial tone" signal back to your phone. When you phone gets this signal, it is to light your messag light. So we need to figure out if Rogers is sending the signal, and if your light is working. So, leave yourself a message. Give Rogers a minute or two to send the signal. Pick up your phone to make a call. Do you hear a "stuttery" type dial tone? If not, it sounds as if the Rogers system is not providing the signal. Okay, if your light is not on, then lets test the light by taking the Rogers VM out of the equation. Go to your Panasonic answering machine menu, and turn it on, then turn the number of rings set to 1, and save that. Now call the phone. It should answer after a ring or two, and your call should never make it to Rogers AM. Leave a message and see if your Panasonic answering machine takes the message and lights the light. If it does not light the light even though your message was recorded and saved, then you may have a bad light. If it lights the light, go back into your menu and turn the machine off, and look for any settings regarding using the "telephone company voice mail" or review your message light settings, etc. Hope this helps

How do I set up voicemail? New phone, mailbox says it is full, how do I delete messages?

  • Access the main menu of your Samsung Go Phone. Hold the #1 key down until you are connected to the voice mail system. If for some reason pressing the #1 key doesn't connect you to voice mail then call customer service at 1-800-331-0500. You will be connected with an operator who can help you troubleshoot the voice mail problems on your Go Phone.
  • 2 Follow the voice prompts and select "Listen to Messages" from the list of options. Bear in mind that checking voice mail on a Samsung Go Phone will count against your prepaid minutes.
  • 3 Once you have finished you can select the "Delete Message" option from the voice prompt if you wish to clear your voice mail messages. If not, you can simply press "clear" or hang up the phone to leave the voice mail system.

Lcd screen is blank also trying to pick up voice mail and can not

Called GE. Here's what's happening (at least with my phone). I use VONAGE as a carrier. VONAGE's package includes voicemail. I have my VONAGE voicemail account set up to take any call that comes in if the answering machine on my GE phone does not pick up -- for instance if I'm on the phone and I do not "flash" over to the incoming call, that caller will eventually be sent to my VONAGE voicemail where they can leave a message. (Otherwise I would either take the call, or, if not already in use, the GE phone/answering system1.gif would simpy take the message.) This GE phone is commucating with my VONAGE account and letting me know that I have a mesage in my VONAGE account voicemail. All I have to do is either go online and delete the messages (after listening to them of course) and refresh the page. Once the messsages are deleted, the carrier lets my phone know the messages are gone and the NEW VOICE MAIL prompt on the handset disappears. I suppose I can do it by listening to the messages by calling in and deleting through the touch pad on the phone as well

    All phones are flashing red

This is a "Voice Message Waiting Indicator" and it means that you have a new voice mail from your telephone service provider, or a new message on your answering machine. A lot of people do not even realize they have voice mail from their service provider because all the phone companies bundle services now. If you do not have a message on either you can reset the indicator by following the instructions in the manual

    New Message

The new phone registered existing voice mail. I thought it would only display incoming events. So retrieving messages from the phone service provider solved my "New Message" display quandry. Too simple.

Can't switch from voicemail to incoming call without losing messages.

Probably not, but the voice mail extension is still a dialable number. Try 500 or 165 or asking whoever installed it what the extension is.

It will prompt you the same as if you had pressed the MESSAGE button, only there will not be any new messages. You just have to play the OLD messages and you'll hear them.

"New Voice Mail" stuck on screen.

Hi, I have the same problem. I called the service provider, they left a voice message, which I accessed later and deleted from my voicemail box. This took care of it and I dont have that message on the screen now. I think you can just leave yourself a voice message and access it later and delete it. That should resolve it.

    New Voice Mail

I have FiOs and used some of the info I gathered from this page to get my voice mail working now! To set up my voice mail I called my phone number (from the house phone), then pressed * when the automated system picked up...Your prompted to use a 4 digit pass code, which is the last 4 digits of your phone number (worked for me). From there I listened to the prompts and created a new "4 digit pw" as well as a "name password" by the end of the cycle. It then allowed me to listen to the messages on the phone and delete them! Phone finally says ready on it.
