I put my oven in self cleaning mood,it cleaned but now the door won't un-lock.What do I do to get it open?Its stainless steel with flat top burners. Thank you N.C.

You will have to get the top of the oven door to come up. some are really sucky and they have a whole row of quarter inch screws between the oven top and the oven door. you have to use a quarter inch wrench and about an hour of time to get the top to come loose. you then can disconnect the door latch mechanism to get your door open. NEVER use the self clean in an oven. it gets too hot and they build stuff junky nowadays. get easy off and follow the directions on the can. use easy off from now on.
