I just purchased a new top loading Matag washer to replace a 15 year old sears. The old one pumped to a dischard about 6' up from the floor without problem. Will this one do the same with a few feet of hose added? Will I need to put a check valve on it? It is not going to be delivered until Thursday so I have time to stop it if this will not work. you didn't say how old it is, - but likely the cost effective solution (if it is more than 5 years old) is : buy a new washer.

Call Sears or GE service...either can address the problem. They may offer you a one-year contract, which is worth the price. If they can't fix it, you will get a credit toward the purchase of a new unit.

Did you change the supply lines.

Open up the washer, grab the metal basket and lift it up and down. If there is any play in it then buy a new washer. Replacing that spindle and bearing is not cheap. Spindle can only be purchased by also buying a new basket and that can cost $500.00 or more just in parts.

The motor? It's $120. What about the drain and re circulation pumps? Well it's $82. It will be cheaper on you to bite the bullet and purchase a new unit.

If it's a top load, it's likely the pump is shot and needs to be replaced. If you feel like taking it on schematics are on line and the pump is relatively inexpensive compared to replacement of the washer. If you use a repair company, it might be cheaper to replace the unit, especially if your washer if more than 5 years old. Check if warranty is still available to purchase from SEARS, If it is, it be be a steal to buy extended warranty and have SEARS fix it.

I also got the SUDS error followed by F35 many times. I replaced the analog water level switch, Wirlpool part number W10156252, and the problem went away. The part is located against the back right corner of the top of the washer after removing the top cover. The part cost $62.99 + $12.95 express shipping from ApplianceZone.net. I have the Kenmore HE3t Steam Washer, model number 110.46752 700 front loader. I was able to run about 6 loads of laundry by unplugging the washer, waiting about 5 minutes, the re-plugging and re-starting the washer. Thereafter, the problem became permanent. I always used HE detergent. The washer was purchased new in December 2007, and the I made the repair in September 2009. I spent about $1300 for the Kenmore H3t Steam Washer, and I am disappointed that it required repair after less than 2 years. My mothers old Maytag washer lasted more than 15 years, and was not susceptible to soap SUDS.

hi wanda, most top load whirlpool units, they make the sears kenmore models, are around 3.0 cubic feet.
its not that important for a top loader, but when going to a front loader thats how they rate them.
what i would recommend is you buy a unit that will do the laundry that you will need to do for the next 15 years.
what i mean is if you have 2 or more young children, that you will be doing laundry for the next 15 years, then a full size front loader would do you good. size 3.5 c/f or larger, like a whirlpool he4 or he5.
if it is just for 2 people then a smaller unit would be better, like a whirlpool duet or sport model.
the reason for the choice is a front loader needs to be filled up for it to work properly. doing smaller loads in a front loader will cause them to shake and not work as well.
now be ready as the new washers will cost about 1,000 bucks.
another suggestion for 2 people would be the whirlpool cabrio top loader. i like them alot and they have very few parts to fail and have a good reliability.

The buzzing can only be that the pump if sticking or the inlet valve is sticking, other than that it is lack of water supply. Regards Advisor
