I forgot my password to PC-cillin Internet Security 2005 and am wanting to uninstall it. Is there a way I can still uninstall?

Using the PCCTool To uninstall the program using the Support Tool, follow the steps below: 1. Go to the C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Internet Security 2005\ directory. 2. Double-click on the PCCTool.exe file to start it up. 3. When the Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security window appears, go to the [E] Uninstall tab. 4. When you see the confirmation dialog box, click Uninstall. 5. Wait while the program is completely removed from your system.
6. When the uninstallation finishes and you see a dialog box asking you whether you want to restart now or later, click Yes to restart your computer and have the changes take effect immediately or No to restart and have the changes take effect at a later time.

just download the latest installer from trend micro. if your license key is until 2011, you can download their latest software and no need to repurchase a cd. normally, the latest installer will address this concern of yours. just visit this website: http://esupport.trendmicro.com/consumer/Pages/ProductDownloads.aspx#TMIS2008

just select the latest version, download it and install it.

you may remove or uninstall the program and install and new one, don't over write the installation.

Click on start and then click on Run. In the run box, type in there PCCTOOL and then click on ok.
Click on the uninstall tab and then click on the uninstall button.

Lower down your Trend Micro Security Settings.

My advice: uninstall it, and install the _free_ anti-virus software from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials
which does _NOT_ require any "serial-number".

sounds like Pccillin working overtime try disabling it and switching off firewall to see if conection happens then
If it does its a tickbox setting in Pccillin stopping connection o
Or trry uninstgalling it, to see if it sollves problem.

I had a similar problem and this worked for me
with Trend Micros Internet Security.

You will have to uninstall the program first then reinstall it, otherwise it
will hang and cause problems with your computer.

In order to uninstall it do these steps.
Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > System Configuation.
Makes sure you select Selective Startup, and that Load Startup Items is unchecked.
Click OK, and you should be prompted to reboot.

After you reboot and the system is loaded your Virus Software icon will NOT
be in the taskbar trying to load.

Now go into control panel > Programs and Features.
Find the virus program, hightlight and select the uninstall option.
After its done doing that go back into the Control Panel >
Administrative Tools > System Configuration. Select Normal Startup
and hit the OK button.

Reboot again when you see the button prompt.
Now, after the system comes up, reinstall your virus software,

You should be good to go from there.
The process is for Vista, but if your running Windows XP it is very similar.
