Unknown disc for all region 2 discs for samsung ht-x30

Unknown disc keeps coming up for all my region 2 dvds which is all of them except 1!! tried the code to unlock all regions {84269) but has not worked. please help

No still will not work. It was originally set to region 2 and I used the region hack and it worked for around a month perfectly with any dvd. after the month it will only play region 1 or 0 but will not play any region 2 which is nearly every one of my DVDs. When i enter a region 2 dvd it comes up "no disc". I tried reseting it (holding stop until "initial" comes up and turns of. and holding stop again untill standby light blinks) and by using region hack code again, and I tried doing both but to no success! anyone know how to fix it or to just even get it back to playing region 2 only

I have a sumsung dvd home cinema system ht.thx25 when I put a dvd in it says disc unknown but when I put a free dvd in from the newspaper it plays.

Is the disc just a regular disc, not HD or blu ray?
Is the disc a region 1 coded disc?

If it is, the unit should play it fine.

I have a Samsung HT BD2 region 4, I go many region 1, they wont play, how can I make it play?

To unlock the DVD code its defends upon what region you belongs or from were you bought the DVD unit. Just click this site to hack the region code ; http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks

To keep it simple, this means that DVD players and DVDs are labeled for operation on within a specific geographical region in the world. For example, the U.S. is in region 1. This means that all DVD players sold in the U.S. are made to region 1 specifications. As a result, region 1 players can only play region 1 discs. That's right, the DVDs themselves are encoded for a specific region. On the back of each DVD package, you will a find a region number (1 thru 6).
The geographical regions are as follows:
REGION 1 -- USA, Canada
REGION 2 -- Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Greenland
REGION 3 -- S.Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Parts of South East Asia
REGION 4 -- Australia, New Zealand, Latin America (including Mexico)
REGION 5 -- Eastern Europe, Russia, India, Africa
REGION 6 -- China
REGION 7 -- Reserved for Unspecified Special Use
REGION 8 -- Reserved for Cruise Ships, Airlines, etc...
REGION 0 or REGION ALL -- Discs are uncoded and can be played Worldwide, however, PAL discs must be played in a PAL-compatible unit and NTSC discs must be played in an NTSC-compatible unit.

The end result is that DVDs encoded for regions other than Region 1 cannot be played on a region 1 DVD player, also, players marketed for other regions cannot play region 1-stamped DVDs

Hope it may help you;
