Unsupported media format on video

I downloaded a video, but it says it is unsupported media format. how do i get it to work?

you device should support these video formats. MPEG4, WMV, H.264 and DivX.
anything else won;t play

SOURCE: videos will not work

You need the videos to be in MPEG-4 file format. Other formats will need to be converted by many of the free converters found by Googling "mpeg 4 converter"
