Between Win95 and Windows 8 there are several other versions Win 98, Win 2000, Win XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Try to run the CD in compatibility mode. If it does not work you will have to forgo the use of that software or run it on an old machine, or upgrade to a version compatible with Windows 8 if one such upgrade exists.

Can you "send" the cd, i'll make it compatible

Question: Can I use my webcam with Windows 7 or Vista ?
Answer:- At the time this webcam was designed, Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems did not exist yet. Unfortunately, the internal hardware of the webcam does not match the requirements of these operating systems. Therefore we cannot provide a software upgrade (driver upgrade) to support Windows Vista or Windows 7. We apologize that we are not able to support you in this matter.

Too bad Philip do not provide the drivers if your are Using Vista or Win 7 or any x64Bit system.

It's not possible to install windows 95/98 version on windows 7 platform. Well, Some programs can be installed using the "compatible mode" from the program's setup properties, but this feature is available only for windows xp and vista on windows 7. I've tried this trick with many applications but never successful. I hope you understand.

Windows XP and Vista should "auto-detect" the capabilities of this LCD screen.

If not, access http://WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com
and scan for updates.
When the scan is done, look for "optional hardware" updates.
If Microsoft has a driver, it will be offered for download.

These are the specifications for your joystick. Apparently it only supports Windows 95/98 and you were probably lucky to have it working on XP.

windows OS usually refers to all versions of windows (95/98/ME/XP/VISTA)

Normal 0 You need to go to the manufactures site and download the VISTA driver for the camera. Then follow the info below to install the program.



Disconnect the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.

The PDC 700 camera TWAIN driver is not 100% compatible with Windows Me because it does not support USB downloads. No new driver software is available from Polaroid -- however, a compatible TWAIN driver is available from a third-party source. The Pretec DC-800 is the functional equivalent of Polaroid's PDC 700. Pretec's DC-800 Setup Disk for Windows 95/98/ME/2000 is available for download at its online Driver Download Center. Testing done by Polaroid has shown that this driver works with the PDC 700 using the listed operating systems, including Windows Me. When accessing the camera with image editing software compatible with the computer's operating system, the camera driver appears as Digital Camera 1024X768 Driver.
