I am trying to install my canon MP730. I have lost the installation disc. Can I install it from the internet?

Yes. You can download the drivers and other softwares from Canon's website.

For your convenience, here is the link:

Click on the Drivers/Downloads tab and then select your OS. It should show up the list of drivers etc.

Save a copy to your Desktop or a CD-rom and keep it for future references.

Yes. Actually this is better because you will get the latest drivers and utilities. Just make sure you DOWNLOAD (as in Save, not Run) the installers and run them after you have closed all your other programs, otherwise you might get into serious trouble if the download was somehow corrupted.

Had a hard drive failure and have lost the instalation disc. Now have new laptop, but cannot load the printer!
You can download the printer driver from the Canon WEB site support download page. You need to select your printer model and the XP or Vista driver version.

We went from Explorer 6.0 to Explorer 7.0 and now when I try to scan material on my Canon MP730, I get the following message -2146823281:'fileSystem'is null or not on object How do I correct this?
Go to Cannon's support/driver download site and get a new driver for the new internet brownser. Most of these printing software packages don't play nice with browser updates, usually, you have to get a patch or an install package for the new browser.

Is canon multipass \mp730/700 compatible with window vista
Windows Vista drivers are available here. Be sure and download/install both the driver and the MP Toolbox (listed under Software). If you currently have other drivers installed, be sure and remove them completely before trying to install the new drivers.
