Problem:- User's modem does not dial or does not connect. Tip:- Prove that computer is connected with phone line and check that phone line contains dial tone.Therefor check that connection is connect or not.
Connection may not be less than six feet (1.8 meter).
Check dial tone by plug in the phone in phone jack.
If user has many more services (such as call waiting,call messaging OR voice mail) then check that these all are cleared or not and check call waiting is disabled while using modem.
Disconnect any answering machine,fax machine or printer which are on line with modem.
Check that are you not using digital,rollover or PBX line?These type of lines not works with modem.
Try with another phone line. (For this, you have another phone number or another phone line).If user connected with another line then you need to complain in phone company.
Check the LED lights that are blinking on the front of the DSL modem.
Check the "Internet/Online" LED and make sure it is blinking green or a
solid green. If this LED is not blinking, then the modem is not getting a
phone signal, or the service is out. Remove the line and check it to
make sure that you're getting a signal. Check to see if filters are connected to the phone lines that are all

line so that the lines do not crosswire and disturb the Internet
connection or the phone connection. The DSL is usually shipped with a

modem is connected to the router, try disconnecting the router and

multi-port wireless router, then connect the computer to a different

I would contact my ISP, the problem could be in the line somewhere. If there was a storm that went through lightning could of hit a phone line, or circuit, between you and the co.
the problem is with your modem....did you tested the local loop from router to modem....are u getting local loop from one modem till router or not...try first checking local loop from modem to router...
