Aquos Turns off by itself

My LC-42D62U Sharp Aquos turns off by itself when i watch certain DVD's. THe only DVDs it happened on so far was SAW III and Running Scared. It'll always be at the same exact part of the movie. When it turns off i have to unplug the TV from the outlet and plug it back in, otherwise the TV wont turn back on. I play the DVDs through the PS3 but i doubr that has anything to do with it. Why would the TV turn off at certain parts of the movie...and always the same part? Input is from TIVO 2 Dual DVR, and alternatively directly from a Comcast HD box. When using input from TIVO (not a recording) the TV turns off from time to time. It can be turned on again and sometimes stays on for an hour or so but sometimes goes right off again two or three more times and then seems to be okay. Maddening at best. Anyone have same problem or suggest an answer.

I have a LC-46D64U and it keeps turning off at the same place in Shrek when watching it through a Sharp BluRay player, but when I play the same DVD in a no-name player, it doesn't turn off.

I suspect AquosLink might be sending the command to turn-off?

I'm going to tinker with disabling Aquos Link.

When playing a recorded program on the TIVO 2 DVR through the Aquos suddenly both the TIVO Dvr and the TV turn off. When the TV is turned on again and I resume playing the recorded program, if I fast fwd through the spot at which the system turned off, sometimes I can resume playing for a second, a minute, or several minutes. Then the process starts again. As mentioned a previous post if I try to replay from the point at which it went off the first time, it generally goes off again at the same spot. Less frequently, but on ocasions, when watching programs from the Comcast box, via the Tivo box, the same thing happpens.

No. It goes black, then about 5-10 seconds, it turns itself back on.

Aquos Turns off by itself

How many times per second does the POWER led blink? (dont worry about the OPC).

1x per second (constant, steady blink) = bad inverter/lamps
2x per second = bad power supply
3x per second = bad main board

There isnt really anything you can do to fix it yourself, you can order the part over EBay, not hard to install just unscrew/unplug --- plug/screw..

Sharp Aquos Won't Power On

I have the same problem with my My LC-42D62U WHen i watch certain DVDs, (so far it happened on SAW III and RUNNING SCARED) during certain parts of those movies my TV will turn off and i cant turn it back on unless i unplug it and plug it back in. It only turns off on specific parts in the movie, i have no idea why...like the same exact parts...so i pretty much have to pause the movie with my remote once my TV turns off then when i power the TV on again just resume the movie and its fine...but if i rewind to that part again it'll power off again SAW III only had one part like that....but RUNNING SCARED had about 3-4
