When I turn my camera on, the screen remains black and says turn power off and on. Upon doing so, when i turn it on again, it begins beeping and says turn power off and on. But if I go to the view pictures...

Hi,

Error: TURN THE POWER OFF AND ON AGAIN is displayed on the LCD screen when the Lens Mechanism is stuck or when affected by any malfunction. If turning the power on and off again does not resolve the error message, try doing a power reset and Initialize option.

Performing a manual power reset

Turn off the camera.

Remove the battery pack.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

Reinsert the battery pack.

Turn on the camera.

To reset the Camera back to factory default, press the RESET button located above the PHOTO button which will change all settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted.

If the issue persists, service may be required.

Plasma no picture, fades to black from startup logo

UPDATE:
I finally isolated the problem, the problem has to do with the Y SUSTAINER BOARD not receiving enough/necessary voltage when turned on, while initially thinking it was just the yboard was the problem, i replaced the Y sus board with no success, with only further diagnosis, i discovered the board voltages coming from the powersupply, there are 5 voltages that relate to the Y sustainer board, VA, VSC, VS, VE, VSET. they all supply a certain voltages that all have to be supply the correct voltage in order for the y sustainer board to be working, well guess what, the VA line, which for my set needs 70volts, which upon startup quickly drops from 75volts to a jumpy 8.5-9.5 volts, which of course is nowhere near the 70 volts needed, so this quick drop in voltage is directly related to the screen fade upon startup, i found the problem now the real problem is finding a replacement power supply. hope this helsp anyone with similar issues.

Screen flickers upon power up

Looks like your picture tube is dying, or there is a bust capacitor(s) inside...I'd recommend taking it to a service shop to get it repaired.

Cheers!

Picture disappears and changes to white screen

I am assuming that this is the nature of the fault and that it is repeatable. Does what you have described occurs every time you turn the damn thing on. You haven't said is whether or not there are changes in sound when the screen malfunctions or whether your unit plugs into a GPO or a black box which plugs into the GPO.However this only dictates the ease with which the faulty component is replaced What seems to be happening is that white level controls are setting to maximum gain. If the control is digital It is almost certainly due to dirty power. The sound level should also change if the power supply is the culprit. Spikes cause the gain on the control to ramp up or down erratically (change) on digital parameter controls. This resulting in bleeding for white levels and a change in the sound levels. Replace the power supply if possible. A cheap workaround can be made if my assumptions are correct and the main transformer is not faulty. Leave a post if you want more info
