Our Kitchenaid dishwasher is only 2 years old and has worked fine since install. Christmas day we did a load of dishes, that same afternoon we loaded it again, but when we pushed on the "normal" cycle, the light did not come on. We pushed start, and nothing happened, and tryed the reset button.
Still nothing works. We checked power to the unit, and it has power up to the control panel.
Can you please help?
thanks

I've got the same problem on a unit that is a couple of years older. I noticed there is a "crack" in the plastic covering over the top of the "start" button on the control panel. I'm guessing that water may have penetrated the control electronics in the door and shorted it out.
stopped during cycle, has water thats standing in the bottom. does not reset and no power.
Went to start washer and nothing lights up!! Power and water to washer fine. Please help

Do I need to turn off power supply to dw t o replace the fuse harness?
I don't know that breaker and since it is not working can't tell.
have replaced fuse w/o harness now this time I will.
But where is the power shut off on the unit?
Thanks
I have a similar problem. I select the desired cycle and press start but nothing happens.
can someone tell me where the fuse is on the kitchenaid dishwaser
Hi Can you talk me through the fuse replacement?
I can "reset" the dishwasher by turning it "off" at control panel and then turn "on" while depressing "start" and it will usually work - sometimes for the one load, sometimes for several loads before having to be "reset" again. Sometimes I can change panel settings if I experiment enough with various combinations of holding buttons while turning the power on/off. So my question is, "Do I need a new control panel or do I need a new circuit board/timer, or both?"
