You didn't specify the make and model of the unit you have, but I can give you some basic steps that should help you resolve the problem based on past experience with other similar units.
First unplug the unit. Then remove the screws that hold the cover on the unit. Remove the cover. Any CDs that are not in their holding places that may have fallen into the unit, reach in carefully and remove them from the unit and set them in their jewel cases. If the unit was not ejecting the disk and it was stuck, check to see if the CD was perhaps stuck between the spindle and the arm that holds the CD to the spindle. That happens sometimes on CD players. If that is the case, you should be able to remove the CD anyway but you have to be careful and not be too forceful to any mechanisms involved. I hope that helps.

Problem with car stereo

usually if the cd player goes you cannot repair them your self unless you know some where that repair them they dont last forever if you got to scrap yard the owner should be able to test it for you or give a few days warranty incase it doesent work could also try conecting straight to your car before paying for it or connecting it to another battery and putting an old disk in it me personally replace it with a better system they dont cost that mutch these days and can get an mp3 player can get all 6 disks on 1 disk so dont need the multi disk thing

Bose system plays disk one beautifully, but when changing to disk 2 it says reading disk and then "disk error"....difficult to remove disk...

hi,
There is some problem with the timing of the changer mechanisum of the player. As it is very complicated mechanisum you should need a good reparing experence to rectify the same. The mechanisum is not properly selecting the disk 2. Try to consult the bose autorised servicing center or any trusted electronics reparing shope near you.

CD stuck in BOSE 3 disk stack player

I had the same problem and went to the Bose Tech Support site and found this solution. It allowed me to eject the stuck CD. The same problem happened again when I tried to enter another CD but after repeating the process below the CD ejected again and after that it worked fine.
Hope it works for you.
  • Try performing a reset with your Wave® music system upside down:
    1. Unplug the system, flip it upside down, place it on a firm, level surface, then plug it back in again

    2. If the CD ejects when you do this, the system may need to be serviced. Contact Bose® Technical Support or call 1-800-278-1281
