Yes as long as they fitted with Nikon mount ring.

Be aware that there are some restrictions. Older manual focus lenses will not autofocus with newer Nikon bodies (duh). Also, older non-electronic lenses may not meter with some newer bodies. You'll have to judge the exposure yourself (or with an external meter).

What lens can I use the the Nikon N6006 35 mm SLR Camera?

The Nikon N6006 will use just about any Nikon F-mount lens made in the past 55 years. About the only exceptions are some rare (and very expensive) fisheye lenses and the newer DX lenses specifically designed for digital cameras.

Promaster lense fits nikon D3000 but camera says lens not attached

Promaster makes many different lenses. Some of their older lenses do not have the electronics to communicate with newer digital cameras, and you have to shoot in Manual mode. Could you tell us which lens you're asking about?

Do the older zoom lenses from the film cameras work with any of the newer digital cameras? I have 2 promaster lenses and didn't want to throw without checking.

In general, yes. The camera manufacturers did not change the lens mount when then went from film to digital, so as not to obsolete their own lenses. So if your lenses have a Nikon mount, for example, they will work on a Nikon digital camera.

Compatible nikkor lenses for nikon f 55

Almost all Nikon-mount lenses made in the past half-century will work on the F55. With old lenses, you need to make sure they're AI or adapted to AI. Among newer lenses, you don't want to use the DX lenses designed specifically for digital cameras. DX lenses will work, but you will get vignetting (dark shadows in the corners). You will also lose the autofocusing capability with AF-S lenses.

Can Nikon F3 lenses be used on a digitial Nikon body?

Yes and no. The lenses will fit with no problem.

On DX cameras (everything except the D700 and the D3 series) the smaller sensor causes the lenses to seem longer. A 50mm lens on a digital body will give you about the same image as a 75mm lens would on a film body.

Older non-CPU lenses do not have the electronics to communicate with a newer camera. On some of these cameras you won't be able to use the camera's light meter.

A/F PROBLEM

The D40 (& D40X & D60) will not autofocus with the G series lenses. The three cameras above require a newer DX series of lenses for the AF to work.

Cant get power to Nikon N2000

I would try some CLR on the end of a Q tip and scrub down all of the contact points to clean off any corrosion. Then I'd use the eraser end of a pencial and remove any last bits of residue. Then reinstall batteries and try it. If iyt still doesn't work, then it is not a cost effective fix. You can get a replacement used, working N2000 (or F-301...its the same camera) on eBay for no more than $25.

Nikon f80 b/w cmera

The camera will not support the newer lenses since they have the auto focus motor internally. The lenses do not have the coupler in the mount to match with the camera
